Job description
To successfully carry out your role, you'll need to:
prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
assist in establishing client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
perform risk, value management and cost control;
advise on a procurement strategy;
identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;
prepare and analyse costings for tenders;
allocate work to subcontractors;
provide advice on contractual claims;
analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports;
value completed work and arrange payments;
maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
assist with the identification and perusal of new business opportunities

This salary will be reviewed annually, and adjusted to reflect significant improvement on the basis of performance and results
Hours of work Monday – Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm
Your duties & responsibilities will be broad and across the whole spectrum of the company’s activities consummate with the position of Company Quantity Surveyor PMQS, there will also be a significant opportunity to assist with the development of our Electrical company ( Channel Electrical Systems Ltd )
Annual holidays – 28 days including Bank Holidays
Initially the company will pay for any business mileage at the rate of 45p per mile, excluding any private mileage ( travel to and from home will be classed as private mileage ) .
You will be invited to enrol in SMK workplace Pension, SMK will contribute government statutory requirements
Sickness pay is as statutory
