Job Title: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Apprentice
Location: Basildon and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time,
Apprenticeship Salary:
Competitive apprenticeship wage (based on age and experience)
What You Will Do: Assist lead engineers with installation of split systems and chillers. Learn how to braze copper pipes and test for leaks. Carry out routine maintenance checks on commercial fridges. Diagnose faults and help repair cooling units. Keep a clean workspace and follow health and safety rules.
What We Need from You Grade 4/C or above in GCSE Math and English (or equivalent). A strong work ethic and keen interest in engineering.
Good communication skills for talking to customers.
A valid UK driving license or willingness to travel locally.
What We Offer:
Full training leading to an industry-recognized qualification. Hands-on experience with skilled mentors.
Specialist tools and PPE provided.
Standard general tools to be provided by the new applicant.
You will be expected to attend college for a term of 3 years on a day release scheme

With the help of CDL "Cool Designs Limited" we successfully supplied and fitted this bespoke air handling HVAC system with humidity and heat recovery, complete with controls

Back in 2024 we designed and installed a two part freezer cold room and chiller, based in Essex.
The freezers were 30m wide by 21m deep with a height of 12.5m high.
The refrigeration equipment and controls were fitted complete with temperature monitoring.
