“It only makes sense to extend that intention into my own home.” Stella McCartney — on why she came to Your Eco.

When someone has spent a career proving that sustainability and excellence aren’t a trade-off, you pay attention to where they put their own roof. Stella already runs her Old Bond Street flagship and London head office on 100% renewable energy. Bringing that same standard home wasn’t a statement for her. It was just consistency.

We were honoured she trusted us to do it — and proud that “seamlessly and efficiently” is how she describes the experience. That’s the bar we hold on every project, whether it’s a private estate, a working farm or a distribution centre.

People sometimes ask why a commercial solar business cares so much about getting one home right. Here’s the honest answer: the principle doesn’t change with the size of the roof. Take responsibility for what you take out of the earth, then build properly and stand behind it. Stella put it better than I could — it’s a philosophy, not a lesson you sit down for.

Thank you, Stella, for letting us be part of yours.

Amongst our core focus on commercial solar installations across the UK, Your Eco continues to operate in more specialised international environments.
This week, we’re preparing to ship four 40ft containers of DMEGC Solar bifacial modules out to the Caribbean, collaborating closely with our long-term freight partner PSP Worldwide Logistics and our strategic UK supply chain partner, Solen Energy UK.

We’re also moving MW-scale volumes of SolarEdge Technologies equipment through Miami, with invaluable support from Adrian Perez-Siam and the Greentech Renewables team—building on the groundwork we laid together in the USA last month.

From our Bristol operations hub to our deployment zone on Tortola, BVI—over 6,500km from the UK—expeditionary solar is only possible thanks to the outstanding Your Eco team and the meticulous planning and coordination behind every project.

Wherever the challenge, whatever the scale, we deliver.

Your Eco have yet again delivered another high-efficiency solar in the heart of the UK countryside. Our team completed a 176.9kW rooftop solar installation for a private estate in Oxfordshire.

The Technical Solution:
☀️System size: 176.9kW
☀️Modules: 496 x 450Wp DMEGC bifacial
☀️Inverters: 2 x SolarEdge
☀️Annual generation: 215,760kWh
☀️CO₂ offset: 83,177kg/year—equivalent to planting 1,500 trees over the system’s lifetime
☀️On-site consumption: 70%
☀️System efficiency: 30.6%

This project highlights our commitment to delivering bankable, high-performance solutions for complex private estates. From design through to commissioning, every step was managed by our in-house team, ensuring maximum energy yield and seamless integration with the estate’s operations.

As our CEO Nick Spicer reflects, “Projects like this show how commercial-scale solar can be tailored for private estates, maximising on-site use and delivering real carbon savings. It’s a testament to the Your Eco team’s expertise and attention to detail.”

Over the past year, our dedicated survey team has completed 10.3 MW of solar surveys across multiple sites spanning the breadth of the UK—a remarkable achievement that sets the foundation for our ambitious 2026 pipeline.

Richie Sixsmith, Hope Hopkins, and Laurence Mosley, alongside our skilled electricians and with exceptional support from Ben Ward and Mark Poskitt at our partners SunFixings Limited, delivered these surveys in just over a week. Designs are already in development, with programme roll-out commencing in Q1.

This pace and precision reflects what makes Your Eco the business it is today. From development through to operations and field delivery, our strength lies in our people. Every survey completed isn't just a data point—it's a step towards energy independence for our clients and a commitment to the clean energy transition.

Building Resilience: The Power of Elastic Architecture at Your Eco
At Your Eco, we believe that true growth means more than just getting bigger—it’s about embedding resilience and flexibility into every part of our business. We’re proud to be featured by ICAEW (The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales), highlighting how our agile systems help us adapt and thrive, even in unpredictable markets.

Flexibility is at the heart of everything we do.
Our ‘elastic architecture’ approach means we operate with a core team of 25 in-house specialists, supported by 40 trusted subcontractors. This model enables us to scale rapidly for major projects, without the fixed overheads that can challenge many businesses during quieter periods. It’s a strategy designed to deliver for our clients, our team, and the planet—whatever the market brings.

Why does elastic architecture matter in renewables and construction?
Our sector is shaped by shifting regulations, evolving supply chains, and changing client priorities. By maintaining a flexible structure, we’re always prepared to seize new opportunities or tackle challenges head-on. Regular review cycles, robust project management tools, and a culture of open feedback keep us ahead of the curve.

Here’s Rick Walters, our very first employee, standing alongside Richie Sixsmith, our most recent team member. Both are veterans of the British Army and a shining example of what service-leavers can bring to the workplace: discipline, teamwork, and a “get it done” mindset.

We’re proud of our military roots and our commitment to supporting veterans, reflected in our Silver Armed Forces Covenant status (watch this space as we work towards Gold!). Our military-inspired approach runs through everything we do—from project delivery to team culture.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for more brilliant people to join us.

Right now, we’re on the lookout for a Project Administrator/Coordinator (no experience needed). If you’re based in Bristol, have a “wilco” can-do attitude, an eye for detail, and the determination to see things through, we want to hear from you. All you need is the drive to succeed and the desire to be part of a supportive, fun team.

Whether you’re a veteran or simply looking for your entry into renewables and solar, Your Eco needs you.
