Summer is the perfect time to give your LPG tank a quick check.

As gardens grow, it's easy for trees, shrubs and long grass to gradually encroach around your LPG tank.

Keeping the area around your tank clear helps ensure safe access for both your LPG delivery driver and our engineers, while also making it easier to spot any signs of damage.

Take a few minutes to check for:

🌿 Overgrown vegetation around your tank
🚚 Clear access for deliveries and maintenance
👀 Signs of corrosion, dents or visible damage
📊 Your tank gauge so you know how much you have remaining

A quick seasonal check now can help keep everything running safely and smoothly throughout the seasons.

Have any questions about your LPG tank? Our friendly team is always happy to help.

With temperatures soaring, you may notice your LPG tank making a hissing sound or releasing vapour.

Don't panic, this can simply be your Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) doing exactly what it's designed to do by safely releasing excess pressure caused by the heat.

If this happens:

⚠️ Keep well clear of the tank.

⚠️ Remove all sources of ignition from around the tank (e.g. Naked flames and electrical equipment).

⚠️ If it's safe, you can gently cool the tank using a garden hose on a spray setting.

⚠️ Contact our team immediately for advice.
