We're looking for a Reporting & Digital Transformation Analyst to join Global Infrastructure and support our Compliance team in Beauly.

In this role, you'll support the preparation, maintenance and improvement of business reporting, compliance data and digital tools across the organisation. You'll work with information from across the business to support HSEQ, compliance, commercial, operational and board-level reporting.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collating, validating and analysing data, coordinating reporting deadlines, maintaining compliance and performance trackers, and developing digital reporting tools including Power BI dashboards, Microsoft Forms and structured reporting outputs. You'll also support improvements to reporting processes and digital workflows, alongside QMS, audit and accreditation requirements.

We're looking for someone who is confident working with data and reporting systems, organised, detail-focused and comfortable using Microsoft tools including Excel, Forms and Power BI.

We're looking for a Procurement Administrator to join Global Infrastructure.

In this role, you'll support the Procurement team by coordinating materials, suppliers, deliveries and fleet administration, helping keep projects running safely, on time and within budget.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include raising purchase orders, responding to supplier enquiries, receipting orders, using online portals, liaising with suppliers by phone and email, tracking purchase orders and deliveries, and handling new material enquiries.

You'll also assist with hired plant, arrange servicing and maintenance for the company fleet, support invoice queries, arrange deliveries, update the procurement tracker and maintain PPE stock levels.

We're looking for an Estimator to join the Global Infrastructure team and support the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders. Working alongside our commercial, planning and production teams, you'll assist with quantity take-offs, pricing and tender documentation, helping to ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.

The role includes reviewing tender documentation, preparing Bills of Quantities, analysing subcontractor quotations and supporting the preparation of competitive tenders. You'll also work with estimating software to develop accurate costings, support tender programmes, and attend site visits and meetings with clients and design teams where required.

As Principal Contractor for SSE Renewables at Lochay Hydro Power Station in Killin, Global Infrastructure is delivering the planning, coordination, and safe ex*****on of works within a live hydroelectric generation environment. The project forms part of SSE Renewables’ programme to repower the station with modern, more efficient turbine technology, extending its operational life by at least a further 40 years.

On site, Global Infrastructure has also been carrying out all civil works, incorporating old and new systems to ensure the asset is in its optimal position. There are three turbines within the power station, two major and one minor. Originally built around 1958, they have been in continuous operation and are now being upgraded to extend their lifespan. The disposal and dismantle phase has included the removal of existing turbines, generators, and ancillary components.

The main portion of the works has involved the partial removal of an existing concrete foundation and the construction of a new concrete plinth, including a 20T embedded plate for a new generator. This has required concrete cutting using wire ropes, intricate reinforcement, and complex formwork. Due to the nature of a water-driven turbine, achieving very fine tolerances is critical, as any deviation can lead to vibration issues.

Ross Mellon, Contracts Manager, commented: “The Lochay project is a good example of Global Infrastructure’s capabilities... it shows we are diverse. We have had very few issues… safety scores have been high, environmental scores have been high, and the general coordination between all the parties on site has been very good.”

The project was started in April 2025 with the immediate removal of one turbine, generator and associated equipment. Civils works to rebuild the foundation were completed in March 2026 and the full mechanical rebuild is currently underway and due to be complete at the end of 2026. The second turbine will start being dismantled in April 2027.

Lochay Power Station will be commissioned with an uprated export capacity of 51MW and will be connected via a new substation. This substation forms part of a separate project we’re currently delivering for SSEN Transmission, which is progressing through construction.

To support growing demand for smaller, specialist and time-critical civils, maintenance and infrastructure projects, Global Infrastructure has established Specialist Works.

The new division will operate alongside our larger-scale project delivery teams, giving clients access to the systems, standards and expertise of a major contractor through a more agile and flexible delivery model.

Led by Specialist Works Director Darren MacRae, who was appointed earlier this year following almost 17 years with the business, and Commercial Lead Grant Munro, the division has already secured contracts with established clients and has a healthy pipeline across the energy, industrial, private development and infrastructure sectors.

Commenting on the launch, Darren MacRae said: "We're excited to add a new business division within Global Infrastructure, which we believe has the potential to support growth of the wider company by broadening capability, increasing local visibility, improving client retention and creating further opportunity for sustainable, framework-led growth."

After more than a year on site at Dounreay West Substation, a Volvo excavator supplied by Campbell Plant Hire has been returned following over 3,000 operational hours.

CPH were so impressed with the condition the excavator was returned in that they recently presented Davy Grant, our Plant Operator who operated the machine throughout its hire period, with a voucher for Cafe1 as a thank you. A simple gesture of recognition that reflects the pride, responsibility, and safety-first approach our teams bring to site every day.

Working on behalf of our client BAM UK & Ireland, and Siemens Energy, working for SSEN Transmission, we are currently delivering the construction of six buildings alongside the associated electrical equipment foundations at Dounreay West Substation, our most northerly live project.

With better weather finally arriving in the north, the project is now operating at peak activity. All six buildings are fully erected and progressing through various stages of construction, including external cladding, internal fit out, and full mechanical and electrical installations. Infrastructure works across the site are also continuing in parallel.

We're looking for an experienced Site Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of key civil and construction projects across North East Scotland. This role would particularly suit candidates based in the region, or those willing to work extensively throughout the area.

The role includes setting out and surveying works, reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, supporting Inspection and Test Plans, preparing material take-offs, and producing detailed as-built records. You'll also liaise with designers, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve on-site issues, while promoting safe working practices and compliance with regulations.

We're looking for candidates with experience on substations, steel-framed buildings, or similar technically demanding projects, strong civil engineering knowledge, proficiency with Total Stations and GPS, and experience in quality-controlled environments. A valid CSCS card is required, and a relevant engineering qualification is desirable.
