Some UT (Ultrasonic Thickness) readings we took on a structure with a known historical defect using ROV mounted CYGNUS with a real time readout and log for topside recording. At RSS we are able to provide cost effective and efficient methods of Cathodic Protection measurement. Recently having conducted a Contact and proximity survey for a subsea asset within the UK waters.The primary focus was CP measurements but having conducted a GVI first utilising the HD camera we noted debris in contact with the structure which can lead to localised corrosion and lower than acceptable readings.
Are your subsea assets protected ? Regular/Annual CP surveys are crucial to longevity of structures within harsh environments.
