A couple of weeks back, ISA held a Chinese New Year dinner at Red Panda on the 9th of February and I think everyone had a splendid time, socialising and enjoying delicious food. We also had an amazing price draw and 5 lucky winners went home with prizes. Even after the food finished, some stayed behind and enjoyed a karoake-filled night. Make sure to join us next year as we continue to make exceptional events and bond people together :)

So all the way back in December 2018, the ISA at SMAE planned a trip down to IceBowl in Dundonald, needless to say it was heaps of fun. Everyone had a fantastic time and a truly amazing experience. Join us next year when we do this all over again :)

Hi All

A few of us thought it would be helpful for students who are currently thinking about applying to placements (or who have maybe already got one and want to know more!) to get a real honest insight into the roles and companies they are considering - and, who better to give this than students, who have already been there, done that and blown the salary!

Thus, we would like to (in)formally invite you to our event that is run BY students FOR students with the aim of giving students as much information on placements and companies as possible before applying! There will be no academics or company representatives, just students.

When: Wednesday 27th February

What Time: 12-2pm

Where: ASHL 01.004 (The big tutorial room)

What's in it for you?

A chance to gain knowledge on the placement experience and specific companies
A chance to ask questions to other students who have already been at a company you may be interested in
Opportunity to gain the "Need to Know" aspects that nobody tells you about before you get there

The ISA- SMAE would like to invite everyone to Basketball Playoffs this Sunday 4th of March between 3-6pm at the PEC Main Hall. Entry is completely free so you won’t have to worry about waiting to play or spending money to reserve the court, we have done it all for you, so just bring your friends and come along for this free event, refreshments will also be included.
