We have launched a public consultation on our Draft Standards for Pharmacist Prescribers in Northern Ireland (2026).

Open: 19 March - 11 June 2026

The updated Standards reflect changes in pharmacist prescribing practice, including the eligibility for pharmacist independent prescribing annotation at the point of registration, and set out the regulatory expectations for safe, person-centred and accountable prescribing in Northern Ireland.

We welcome feedback from pharmacists, other healthcare professionals, employers, educators and patients.
