MS Research NI is hosting two events on the 26th of June.

The All-Ireland MS Research Network (AIMS-RN) Symposium
This symposium if for researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals and the MS community, including people with MS. It will mainly feature scientific talks from researchers across the island of Ireland and invited international speakers. The programme and registration details can be found here:

The MS Research Public Information Evening
This is an annual event that we have run locally for over 10 years. We provide updates on local MS research by giving talks, having a Q&A session and an opportunity to meet the speakers. This year's keynote speaker will discuss Epstein-Barr virus and MS. This event follows the AIMS-RN scientific symposium above.

🎉🎈Congratulations to Dr Huda Alsalamin who passed her viva today.
Huda's thesis on innate immune mechanisms in dental-pulp repair was supervised by Dr Yvonne Dombrowski, Professor Ikhlas El Karim, Professor Fionnuala Lundy.

We are delighted to announce that this years All Ireland Multiple Sclerosis Network (AIMS-RN) Research Symposium will take place at Queen's University Belfast.

This symposium is open to all who have an interest in learning about multiple sclerosis (MS), including academics working in biomedical and psychosocial fields of MS research, clinicians/health care professionals who support people with MS, industry experts, policy makers, and members of the wider MS community, including people with MS and their family members.

A brave group of our researchers are limbering up to take part in the 2026 Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon Relay on Sunday, 3 May 2026. 🏃‍♀️🏃

They are raising funds via our JustGiving page and donations will be used to fund equipment for the MS research team. They would be grateful for your support and encouragement.

Today we were visited by members of the Mid Down MS support group as they gave us another very generous donation towards our research. We were delighted for them to join our group meeting and hear about all of our ongoing work within the Northern Ireland Multiple Sclerosis Research Hub.
We are so grateful for their ongoing support.
