Action Renewables were super excited to attend the Rosie's Trust in Portadown recently for week.

The event also marked an exciting milestone in our partnership, celebrating the sponsorship of their new electric van, helping the team continue to deliver their vital services in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

With the sun shining and plenty of happy dogs enjoying the day, it was fantastic to see the local community come together in support of such a worthwhile cause.

Rosie's Trust are always looking for new volunteers to support their work.

What a week!

Over the course of the Balmoral Show 26', Action Renewables had the opportunity to connect with businesses, homeowners, farmers, and industry professionals who are all playing a role in shaping a more sustainable future.

Events like the Balmoral Show allow for these opportunities to be made and are a valuable reminder of how important collaboration, innovation, and education are in the transition to cleaner energy solutions.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, shared ideas, asked questions, and took the time to speak with our team throughout the week 😀

Special thanks to Royal Ulster Agricultural Society for putting on a great show yet again, and thank you to NI Chamber, Rosie's Trust, Cedar Foundation, and Belfast Activity Centre for joining us throughout the week!

We’re delighted to support Omagh Community House as a new beneficiary of a Solar PV installation through the Action Renewables Solar PV Programme. ☀️

With a total installed capacity of 28.35kW, the system will help the organisation significantly reduce energy costs, improve long-term sustainability, and redirect valuable resources back into supporting the local community.

By generating renewable electricity on-site, the installation will also contribute to lowering carbon emissions while helping create a more resilient and energy-efficient community facility for the future.

Projects like this demonstrate the real impact renewable energy can have for community and voluntary organisations across Northern Ireland.

This weekend, three members of the Action Renewables team will travel to Malawi to visit some of the incredible projects we are proud to support alongside our partners at Mulanje Mission Hospital.

The visit will provide an opportunity to see first-hand the impact of renewable energy and sustainable community initiatives, including the solar and battery systems helping to keep vital hospital services running during frequent power outages, and the Changu Changu Moto cookstove programme improving health, safety and environmental outcomes for local families.

To date, thousands of fuel-efficient cookstoves have been built across surrounding communities, helping reduce deforestation, lower emissions and create safer cooking conditions for households.

Our last visit was in 2023, so we are really looking forward to reconnecting with the teams in Malawi again, building on our relationships and strengthening our commitment within the community and sharing updates from the trip over the coming weeks.
