Updates from the Road! 👟 Rory's Miles to Mayo🌻

This week, our Managing Director, Karl Crockard, joined rugby legend, Rory Best and a group of local business leaders walking across Ireland in support of Cancer Fund for Children Rory's Miles to Mayo.

The team has been walking over 50,000 steps every day, cheered along every step of the way. Today, they’re making their way down to Cork before moving through Limerick, Galway, and into Cong for their final hurrah!

Make sure to keep an eye out for the team on the road, though you may spot their SPAR Northern Ireland cowboy hats a mile off! 🤠

From 12th – 20th September, they’ll be tackling a momentous challenge: walking 9 marathons in 9 days. That’s 235 miles and roughly 50,000 steps every single day across the island of Ireland!

Every step taken helps fund life-changing support for families impacted by childhood cancer. For every child. For every family. For a future where no child faces cancer alone.

Last week we celebrated the retirement of our incredible colleague, Norman. 👏

Over the last 6 years, Norman has been at the heart of our welding operations. As a TIG welding specialist, his knowledge, expertise and precision have been invaluable to our manufacturing processes and to the entire Engineering team.
