Norovirus, aka the winter vomiting bug 🤢is currently circulating at unprecedented levels in the UK.

Outbreaks have been reported in nurseries and preschool settings but we know it also affects care homes, hospital wards, workplaces and our homes.

Norovirus is mainly spread by contaminated hands. Did you know that alcohol based hand sanitisers don’t work against norovirus?

Viridis effective against Candida auris in 60 seconds!

This relatively new fungus first identified in Japan in 2009 has been declared by the CDC in the US as ‘a serious global health threat’.

Whilst the risk of being infected is unlikely, certain groups of people are much more susceptible. Those that are hospitalised for a long period of time, in intensive care or are immunosuppressed. Infections have also been found in care homes. There are reports emerging that Candida auris has been found in critically ill patients with Covid-19.
