We are looking to recruit an experienced CPCS A60 Mobile Crane Operator to join our growing, family-run business. With increasing demand for our services and several long-term hires starting in the coming weeks, we need to expand our team so I can continue to focusing on developing the businesses.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Hold a valid CPCS Competent Operator (Blue) Card
* Have proven experience operating 40t, 55t, and 100t mobile cranes

Location:
Berkeley, South Gloucestershire

Position Details:

* Permanent role
* Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
* Overtime paid for weekend work and any weekday hours beyond 8 per day

Desirable Qualifications:

* CPCS Slinger Signaller (A40)
* CPCS Crane Lift Supervisor (A62)

What We Offer:

* £19.00 per hour
* £35 per night Meal Allowance

So, you may or may not have noticed I’ve been a little quiet on here lately.

We had a brief chance to step away from the business over the bank holiday in Cornwall — something we don’t often get — but not long after we returned home, things took an unexpected turn and I was asked to attend Gloucester Royal Hospital and kept in for the week.

It wasn’t how I had imagined marking two years of Berkeley Crane Hire. But in a strange way, it gave me something just as important — time to stop, think, and really reflect on everything we’ve accomplished.

To my wife, who’s been by my side through it all, and to our accountant who’s kept everything together, operators, suppliers, and customers — thank you. Your patience, understanding, and support while I focused on getting better hasn’t gone unnoticed, and it means more than I can properly put into words.

Top it off, I was genuinely touched by a surprise visit from our number one fitter — a small gesture that meant a great deal during a difficult week.

I’m on the mend now, and more grateful than ever.

Pamela-Joyce’s is back….

After undergoing extensive maintenance and a series of important repairs, she’s now back in action and running better than ever. The work included stripping down the boom and fully resealing the teleram to make sure everything is operating smoothly and reliably. A lot of time and effort went into getting her back into top condition, and it’s great to finally see the results. Much Love and thanks to the team at Macsalvors - Plant Hire Ltd for looking after her.

We didn’t even get the chance to refit the fly jib on the side of the boom before she was sent straight back out to work.

Her first task back was helping our friends at DG Crane Hire with a lift, placing an 18-tonne generator onto transport in Weston-Super-Mare. It was great to see her straight back doing what she does best, proving that all the work and maintenance paid off.
