Need an impressive entrance to make a statement?

That's what was created at the Generator in Bristol, where we worked with Overbury to design, manufacture and install bespoke joinery.

Visitors are greeted by an impressive double height entrance which is home to the café bar area designed by MoreySmith architects.

We worked closely with the designers to bring to life their scheme for the café bar area and incorporate a range of finishes, supplying detailed CAD drawings and samples for sign off, then manufacturing and installing.

We provided raised seating staging area, clad with Havwoods flooring and upholstered in Majlite Satchel Tan faux leather.

The Café construction was clad in dark grey fluted concrete panels by Mass Concrete and featured a stunning green terrazzo stone worktop.

Creating reality from a drawing.. We love how this turned out. Using a design intent from Interaction Ltd | B Corpâ„¢ we produced our own working drawings for this gorgeous area for a Manchester-based company.

It includes a Howdens Tea point in the background (units and doors) installed by Face Edge, a copper splash back supplied by a specialist company and cut to size by our metalworker and installed by Face Edge. We used Terrazzo stone tops supplied and fitted by Diespeker and Co.

We love this Island unit based on a design from Interaction which is a bespoke unit manufactured and installed by Face Edge.

One of our specialities, there's a bespoke piece of banquette seating based on Interactions design intent, manufactured and installed by Face Edge.

And finally, a ceiling Raft manufactured and installed by Face Edge, working from a design idea from Interaction.

Lovely when you can see how brilliantly it all works together.

Exciting times ahead for Face Edge!

Tim Craze, who founded the company in 1998, is stepping into the role of CEO, handing over the position of Managing Director to Pete Pinnick, previously our Operations Manager. This transition marks an exciting new chapter in Face Edge’s journey of craftsmanship and innovation.

Face Edge has grown from a local business into a company with national coverage, delivering bespoke joinery solutions for a wide range of clients. From commercial interiors and high-end residential projects to specialized commissions, Face Edge’s commitment to quality and detail has earned us a reputation as a trusted partner for architects, designers, and contractors across the UK. Our work is showcased in offices, hotels, retail spaces, and private homes, reflecting our ability to merge functionality with exceptional design.

Pete Pinnick, who has been with Face Edge since 2000, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the company’s values and ambitions. Speaking about his new role, Pete said: "I am deeply honoured to take on the role of Managing Director and grateful to Tim for his mentorship and trust. Face Edge in Bideford are looking for talented people to join our friendly team. We manufacture and install high quality bespoke joinery for retail, office and residential clients around the UK. Our factory is based in Bideford, Devon and includes a modern CNC facility, with in-house spray shop.

You will be working as one of our skilled assembly team manufacturing items from start to finish working from CAD drawings. We are looking for somebody who takes pride in their work to produce to the highest possible standard, and who has an excellent work ethic to get the job done on time.

Face Edge deliver and install our furniture to clients premises around the UK, our furniture is fitted by the people who made it to ensure quality and service. There will be an opportunity to work away from time to time, bringing satisfaction of seeing a job through to completion.

Attention to detail is the key to combining multi discipline materials to create bespoke retail furniture.

The metal work on the Kiehls stand in Selfridges on Oxford Street ‘stretched’ Tony Sawyer of A&S Precision, our preferred contractor very close to the limit! Both in construction and delivery schedule.

Each CAD assembly drawing below is the first sheet of approximately 20 drawing sheets, breaking down every component part in detail for manufacture.

Based on an American design our skilled staff turned the simplest of materials Oak Veneered Plywood (FSC) - Poplar (FSC) - Metal - Statuario Marble (Recycled) - Acrylic (Greencast) - Glass - Brass (Plating) - LED Lighting - into a unique bespoke display. (FSC - Forest Stewardship Council).

Face Edge were tasked to remove the existing site furniture and install the new furniture overnight from 7pm Sunday evening to 6am Monday morning a total of 11 hours.

A couple of ‘snags’ but as the picture shows - a great job carried out by Face Edge’s team!

We are excited to be celebrating 25 years of business this week and this is the majority of our current team!

For the last 25 years we have been exceeding our customers expectations with our craftsmanship and dedication to delivering the highest quality in all we do.

We currently employ over 20 full time staff at our premises in Bideford which comprises of skilled joiners, machine operators, a spray technician, a site installation team, CAD designers, project managers and a strong finance and administration team.
