Over the last 12 months we have taken this over 300 year old barn from almost certain collapse to a beautifully restored habitable space. We have re-used as many of the original materials as possible, and only replaced where necessary.

Let the roof work commence…!

We are now preparing the roof in readiness to re-cover with the original traditional clay tiles…as you can see from the previous images we have replaced all of the rotten timbers in preparation.

A section of Blue Lias stonework had to be rebuilt following collapse, and now looks stunning topped with bullnose bricks salvaged from this building.

The green oak framework renovation on this project is nearing completion…with its wood fibre fill-in panels providing insulation and additionally a handy carrier for the lime coats to be applied.

This project is all about retaining the original character features for this old building.

After careful removal of the old rotten elm and oak beams, our skilled craftsmen are working hard to preserve the original character features of this structure while bringing new life to it by installing beautiful replacement beams.

This Cotswold Project requires some major beam restoration to the old, rotten Elm and Oak beams, and we’ll be restoring all others where possible. These beams will look great when finished and will form an amazing character feature for this old building.
