SOCIETAL IMPACTS OF AI.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS.

During the Science Festival we hope to organise a special discussion session on the impacts on society, good and bad, from the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence. Ethical, moral, economic, environmental... employment, democracy, truth...

We imagine a panel of 4-5 individuals having experience in various aspects of AI, would kick off with a 3 minute prepared 'position statement', then opening up to floor for questions and comments to which panellists - and others - may respond.

So we are reaching out for potential panelists. We have technical aspects covered, but we would particularly like to hear from individuals:
- In business, aiming to adopt AI or adapt to the consequences
- An economist
- From environmental or political organisations.

And particularly:
- *A chair person!* Someone able to orchestrate the debate, willing to intervene to ensure all voices are hear. A journalist perhaps?

If interested please respond by commenting on this post. Other general comments are also welcome.

Thank you!
