Early Morning Call-Out 🚍👨🏻‍🏭

An early morning call-out to one of our valued customers to carry out welding repairs to the front engine mount brackets, which are welded directly to the chassis.

Once the area had been thoroughly cleaned and prepared, we were able to MIG weld the brackets securely back onto the chassis. We then applied underseal to the repaired area to help protect it against corrosion and reduce the risk of future rusting.

Job complete and the big red bus is safely repaired and back on the road! 🚌🔧

An on-site bolt removal service was successfully carried out to address broken front anti-roll bar cap bolts seized inside the chassis. Unfortunately, this is a common issue, with anywhere from one to all four bolts typically affected.

The broken bolts were carefully drilled out, the damaged threads were professionally repaired, and new fixings were installed, restoring the mounting points to full working condition.

Nice morning to be out working in the field, welding six stainless steel hinges for a wood burner.

There was no access to a power supply, so I had to fire up the onboard generator, which hadn’t been used for at least eight months. Luckily, the fuel was still good, and it ran like a dream. 👍🏻

Emergency call out to attend a workshop to remove a cracked aluminium engine sump. Repaired and tested. Helping keep the wheels on the bus going round and round.

Onsite assist to replace damaged truck steps. Customer supplied new step assembly. Cut off old welds and removed the bent/broken step frame, cleaned the mounting area, and welded the new frame and steps into position. Job completed successfully—an easy Saturday morning. 😅.
