Renovation continued!
The original layout was small and boxy. The front door was closed off to the stairs with a door leading to the lounge. The lounge had a door to the under stairs cupboard and the kitchen.
We’ve taken down the stairway wall, kitchen/lounge wall and the under stairs cupboard wall, which was the rebuilt and designed to a more manageable size.
Working with our clients small floor plan and limited budget we’ve done our upmost to maximise the space and utilise every last inch available.
As you walk in through the front door you are greeted with modern style panelling, seamless glass banisters and an adapted curtail and bullnose staircase. Including 5 pin lights up the stringer of the stairs that run on a PIR sensor.
As you enter the main living space we created a work from home desk in the bay window area, with storage either side. We created the desktop using an off-cut from the kitchen peninsula. Office chair supplied by us. Bespoke mirror up-cycled and cut to size.
In the same corner we installed a large cupboard for coats, hats and shoe storage. All bespoke made and finished in a beautiful slate grey.
As you move into the room we’ve supplied an L-shape 5 seater sofa, new plumbing/radiators throughout, rebuilt the under stairs cupboard and added shelving. Installing small mirrors beaded with MDF to help reflect light and make the space feel bigger. To add extra ambience and mood lighting, we’ve installed dimmable LED strip lights to the outside of the stair stringer- creating a really warm, cosy feel.
To add a bit of extra oomph we’ve build a media wall for a 65” Panasonic tv and fire place, finishing it with light oak acoustic panelling. We also installed a Samsung home cinema system.
Now the kitchen, all bespoke made and doors, end panels and inside of units are finished in a pebble grey. A peninsula that seats up to 5, a wall unit to hide the upstairs waste, 1 and a half bowl Franke sink and dimmable under counter/plinth lights. Integrated dishwasher and 50/50 FF. Stackable WM and tumble dryer, eye level oven and pull out bin.
Mat wells at the front and back door, oak herringbone cushion vinyl and grey carpet throughout.
