20 years of Global HSE Group 🎉

We’re celebrating a day early, but tomorrow marks a pretty special milestone for us as we celebrate 20 years in business.

What started as a specialist consultancy in 2006 has grown into the multi-disciplinary business we are today, bringing together passive fire protection, technical fire consultancy, health and safety, and accredited training.

A lot has changed in 20 years. Our industry has changed, our business has grown and so has our team. But the principles behind Global have remained pretty simple: Do the job properly, invest in good people, help create safer buildings and protect people.

Reaching 20 years wouldn't have been possible without the people who have been part of that journey. Our colleagues past and present, our clients, partners and everyone who has put their trust in us along the way.

We're incredibly proud of how far we've come, and just as excited about where we're going next.

Four nominations 🤯

We’re shocked and incredibly excited to have been shortlisted four times at the Institute of Fire Safety Managers Awards 2026.

- Fire Safety Company of the Year
- Fire Safety Project of the Year
- Accredited Course of the Year - Level 4 Fire Safety Design
- Young Fire Professional of the Year - Millie White

There’s a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes across our teams, so to receive four nominations from within the fire safety industry is something we’re really proud of.

A big thank you to everyone across Global who has contributed, and to the Institute of Fire Safety Managers for the recognition.

Whatever happens on the night, having our work recognised across four nominations is something we’re very grateful for.

Earlier this year, Global HSE Group launched its new internal Trainee Development Programme, providing a clear pathway into passive fire careers.

Delivered through the Global Academy, the five-month programme combines:

✅ Ongoing assessments and individual development
✅ Direct routes into a career at Global

We’re really pleased to have won Fire Safety Project of the Year at the Fire Safety Matters Awards 2026, particularly for a project where the outcome mattered so much to residents.

Our Post-Fire Residential Remediation Programme followed a serious residential fire on the south coast of England, where residents had been displaced from their homes.

Our role was to provide independent fire safety assurance and deliver the works needed to help make the adjoining blocks safe for reoccupation. That meant careful investigation, clear evidence, practical remediation and a lot of detailed work from people who understood the responsibility involved.

We were also Highly Commended for Fire Safety Installation Company of the Year, which is strong recognition for the standards our passive fire protection teams continue to deliver across the UK.

A huge well done to all the other companies shortlisted and recognised on the night. The standard across the industry was fantastic, and it was great to see so much important work being celebrated.

Awards are always appreciated, and this is a proud moment for the business. More importantly, it is a reminder of why the detail matters.

Last week, we recognised Men’s Mental Health Awareness Week.

At Global HSE Group, we believe that mental health matters for everyone, and we are committed to helping break the stigma that often prevents men from speaking openly about their struggles.

Make sure to check up on your colleagues and loved ones, even when they may seem fine.
