‘What is an EPC, why do we need one?’
An Energy Performance Certificate shows how energy efficient a property is, from A to G (A being the most efficient and G the least). It highlights where heat is lost, how much energy the home uses, and what improvements could reduce bills.
Whether you are selling, renting or simply planning upgrades, an EPC gives you a clear starting point. It’s also a requirement by law if you’re renting out a property or selling up.
