In early October 2026, our team is heading back to the legendary Bolivian Salt Flats with one goal: to make motorsport history.

In 2025, we pushed our classic Mini—powered by a cast-iron 998cc engine—to an incredible 172.968 mph, setting an unofficial record and proving just how much potential this small car and dedicated team have.

Now, we are returning with unfinished business.

This time, the Mini will be powered by our purpose-built billet engine, and the FIA will be there to officially authenticate the record attempt. Years of engineering, testing, determination and teamwork have led to this moment.

Our vision is simple: build the world’s fastest billet-engined Mini and secure an official FIA Land Speed World Record.

But we cannot do it alone.

The money raised will help fund the essential costs of getting the car, engine, equipment and team to Bolivia, preparing the Mini for the extreme conditions of the Salt Flats, and completing the official FIA record attempt.

A+5 Land Speed Record – Bolivia 2026

The A+5 philosophy is all about precision, discipline, and extracting maximum performance from minimal displacement. In 2026, that philosophy is heading back to the high-altitude salt flats of Bolivia—where Reg Cook and his team will attempt the ultimate A‑class land speed record for the second year running.

After months of relentless work, the team has successfully fitted the Ascaso 1071 cc billet block into the Mini. This is no ordinary engine install: it’s a hand‑built, ultra‑tight packaging exercise carried out under A+5 principles, where every millimetre matters and every component earns its place.

Reg has captured a full time‑lapse video of the billet block being installed—showing the craftsmanship, the problem‑solving, and the sheer determination behind the project. For the last three weeks, John Provo has been hands‑on, fabricating, adjusting, and engineering the Mini into its final form before loading it into the container. The car is now officially on its way to Bolivia.

Video's will be uploaded once edited to usable size and format.

This is a small team with a huge ambition. Getting a car, crew, tools, spares, and support equipment to Bolivia is a major undertaking—and we’re asking the community to help us push this project over the line. Anything you can contribute will directly support the team, helping cover logistics, fuel, accommodation, and the on‑salt operations needed to chase the record.

This is grassroots engineering at its finest: a tiny engine, a tiny car, and a massive goal. With your support, we’ll take the A+5 Mini back to Bolivia and make another run at history.
