This exciting opportunity will allow you to start work and earn a wage, while learning new skills that lead to nationally recognised qualifications.
This opportunity is available to motivated individuals who wish to start a career in the scaffolding industry. You should have a good head for heights, the ability to handle equipment and components and have a highly developed sense of responsibility.
There are no formal requirements but it’s useful to have GCSEs (grade A*-C) or equivalent in English and maths. Applicants will need to show that they are committed, happy to work as part of a team and individually, and able to use their own initiative.
Applicants must be able to commute to Tysley for a 7am start and to college which is based in South Birmingham.
Qualifications you gain:
Level 2 Construction Diploma in Scaffolding
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing and Rigging Occupations: Scaffolding
The Construction Industry Scaffolders’ Record Scheme (CISRS) Scaffolders’ Registration Card
Level 1 Functional Skills
Employment Responsibilities and Rights
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
You may also gain value-added qualifications in first aid and health and safety, along with other industry-specific subjects
