to an action-packed week at the Farnborough International Airshow (20-24 July).
This year's show was particularly special as we welcomed guests to our brand-new home at Farnborough, our state-of-the-art networking chalet.
From this incredible base, we celebrated a number of significant milestones:

• Defence Innovation
Showcasing our role in engineering and manufacturing the wings and control surfaces for BAE Systems' newly unveiled Brontanax uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA).

• Landmark Contracts
Securing long-term Pratt & Whitney GTF repair awards, a major GTF vane contract, and an R&T project to deliver a large critical additively manufactured component for the F135.

• Global Footprint Expansion
Announcing the strategic expansion of our North Charleston facility and bringing an additional building into operation at our Chihuahua site to further scale our world-leading EWIS capabilities.

• Sustainable Aviation Progress
Celebrating the successful completion of the H2GEAR programme, a significant step forward in advancing hydrogen-powered propulsion technologies.

• Inspiring the Next Generation
Joining the Pioneers of Tomorrow event to connect aspiring engineers with career opportunities and showcase the exciting future of aerospace.

A week defined by innovation, collaboration and progress as we continue to push the boundaries of aerospace technology.

Proud to support BAE Systems in the development of Brontanax, the UK's first Collaborative Combat Aircraft prototype.

Built at our Cowes facility, GKN Aerospace delivered the flight-ready wings, fins and control surfaces, showcasing our advanced composites expertise and agility in defence manufacturing.

"This is the latest example of GKN Aerospace's ability to turn complex, clean-sheet designs into flight-ready reality at an unprecedented pace," said Rupert Dix, SVP Defence, GKN Aerospace.

Mark Wilson, Head of Autonomous Collaborative Platforms at BAE Systems, added: "The rapid progression from concept to prototype integration is a remarkable achievement. GKN Aerospace's industrial expertise, agility and commitment to collaboration have been pivotal in delivering high-quality, flight-ready structures within an extraordinarily compressed timeline."

Day 4 at Farnborough International Airshow is a wrap! Russ Dunn, John Pritchard, and David Bond shared how we are balancing today's market needs with tomorrow's breakthroughs.
From collaborating on BAE Systems' new Brontanax CCA, and our contributions to eVTOLs, to celebrating the successful completion of our landmark H2GEAR hydrogen programme, our workforce is driving innovation across civil and defence sectors.
We want to give a special shout-out and thank you to Fiona Hooper and Jukka Lamminluoto for delivering our daily video updates all week. GKN Aerospace is expanding its North Charlestown, NH facility with a $16M investment, tripling the site's footprint and creating capacity for advanced compressor blade and vane production. A new chapter for our Chihuahua team. ✈️
We've brought an additional building into operation at our Chihuahua facility, creating space to support the continued growth of our Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) activities and enhancing our ability to deliver for customers across North America.

"By bringing this additional building into operation in Chihuahua and expanding our EWIS capabilities alongside our proven aerostructures production, we are positioned to offer integrated solutions directly to our North American customers," said Enrique Alatorre, SVP EWIS, GKN Aerospace.

Governor Maru Campos welcomed the development, stating that "GKN Aerospace's continued growth reaffirms Chihuahua's position as a strategic partner for the global aerospace industry."
