Sir Thomas Flowers, MBE

Sir Thomas Flowers, MBE Thomas (Tommy) Harold Flowers, MBE (22 December 1905 – 28 October 1998) was an English engineer.

During World War II, Flowers designed Colossus, the world's first programmable electronic computer, to help solve encrypted German messages. The World's First Programmable Electronic Computer likely saved Humanity from the scourge of Nazi'ism and Facism and continued to be used into the 1970s fighting the descendents of Josef Stalin.

The real story of how the first Digital programMable computer was developed and saved the world. It was not ENIAC that's fraud and misconduct in science, Unisys! ENIAC WAS DEVELOPED IN THE 1950S, after the war, liars! And you learned how to build it from examples ning the design of Colossus.

An entire Channel on me, Sir Tommy Flowers and my invention of the Programmable Electronic Computer, recognition for which was campaigned for, for years by Dr. Jack A. Shulman... against resistance from AT&T, Univac, IBM and RCA, who had attempted to wrestle the credit for creation of the first programmable electronic computer away from Colossus which predated any of their work by 9 years, and in reality derived from work I did in the 1930's at the British Telephone Establishment, who gave up trying to automate their telephone system back then because the wiring in London Town was so bad, we couldn't make the phones work.

But building the first Colossus Mk1 in 1940 out of my own pocket, I convinced Winston Churchill that it could make a big difference. And it did. By any calculation, the 12 Colossus Computers shortened WWII by at least two (2) years and saved an estimated 2-3 Million lives and lord knows how much merchant shipping which was keeping England alive.

From: Dr. Jack A. Shulman
The Computer that helped win the World War was NOT from Alan Turing! And the industry it spawned was from his ultra secret Colossus Programmable Digital Electronic Computer (Colossus) invented by Thomas Harold Flowers!

Tommy Flowers may have saved the world. He certainly was the TRUE FATHER OF MODERN COMPUTING. His programmable switching digital computer and his unique knowledge made it possible for the Allies to end the war BEFORE HI**ER GOT HIS FLEETS OF JETS, ICBM ROCKETS AND A NUCLEAR BOMB up and running IN FULL PRODUCTION by 2-4 years.

Had it not happened that long before Turing, Flowers had invented the Programmable Electronic Digital Computer and its switching architecture, and brought it forth to Churchill in 1940/41, today we would be marching in Goose Step to the Worldwide N**i Party. Much of America would have been destroyed.

Alan Turing was NEVER the father of modern computing, his devices were like mechanical typewriter calculators of the 19th Century. In point of fact, due to OFFICIAL SECRECY in BRITAIN during WWII and all the way up to 1982, the REAL FATHER OF MODERN COMPUTING and his computer WERE KEPT A COMPLETE SECRET FROM ANYONE! Leave it to Winston Churchill to hide one of the greatest inventors and inventions of our time, falsely attributed by films such as "The Imitation Game" TO THE WRONG GUY! Hollywood Libtards!! And such an incredible invention, the Rockefellers had set their sights on...

Everyone has read about or seen a movie about Alan Turing, who produced a mechanical device to decode the Enigma Portable German Cipher machine in 1942. But did you know that N**i Germany had encryption devices much much more powerful than Enigma (3 streaming roller wheels), such as the Lorenz (12 streaming roller wheels) and worse, which Alan Turing's mechanical device could NOT decode? Nor could all the Code Breaker Scientists of Bletchley Park and the American division of scientific intelligence and mathematics. Turing was only given the "father of computing" designation to KEEP A SECRET DURING WWII and AFTER about A DIFFERENT MAN, and A DEVICE THAT MAN INVENTED - COLOSSUS - the world's first REAL PROGRAMMABLE ELECTRONIC Computer.

His improbable name? Thomas ("Tommy") Harold Flowers. His device? The 12 Collosus Mk1 and Mk2 Programmable Electronic Computers, the first of their kind and design in history, first invented by Flowers for use in running the British Telephone System in the 1930s, but due to London's horrifying telephone wiring, was tabled until Tommy elected to rebuild one to demonstrate to Churchil that his invention could take on the decription of the SUPER COMPLEX N**I CIPHER MACHINES such as Lorenz, which Alan Turing and all the Code Breakers in the British Bletchley Park Institute simply could not with Turing's mechanical "le Bombe". Not that Turing's automated mechanical calculator was dog food!

However, the highly refined Flowers design was originated almost a decade prior to Turing's work yet had been forgotten by England until Tommy Flowers, who kept one set of parts in his garage, reconstructed it for Churchil. In its first run, it found the decryption keys to decode a Lorenz encrypted transmission from the N**I High Command Admiral Durning to its U-Boats at Sea, a code way beyond anything Turing's machine or the Code Breakers could do, Yet Flower's super secret Colossus Serial #1 demonstrated solved it in about 45 minutes. Because it was digital and reprogrammable, the demonstrators were able to update the software on the fly by learning from where it had failed, bringing it to its solution surpassing anything in its day, From then, it could decode the actual messages very easily. Because of its ability to use human on the fly reprogramming to adapt to new Key Breaking tactics, it was also very close to the first artificial intelligence "anything" ever conceived of.

Over the course of the war, England built a dozen progressively more advanced Colossus Computers, adapting their capabilities onto previous models and gave ongoing copies of the design data to America to be used as a "last resort if Britain falls" to the American OSS, stored in what became the NSA's original technology archive.

America and IBM/the Rockefellers would later "borrow" the design of Colossus and use it at University of Pennsylvania, Eckart and Maukley Corporation and a new government funded business "Univac" to create ENIAC about three years after the 12th Colossus was completed and the war ended in Europe. So IBM, Univac and the American programmable electronic digital computer industry was born from what amounted to a "borrow of design" from the ultra secret Colossus Program, known as "Project ABLE" at MI5. Hence, the unique name of ENIAC, which is CAINE backwards. You can't make this sh*t up!

England, who continued to use Colossus to decode Russian coded message encryption keys and algorithms for another 35 years, compelled all those connected to its use and design "A COMPLETE OFFICIAL SECRET". So no one EVER found out about Thomas Flowers or his amazing "programmable electronic digital computer" machines. Flowers sought no public gratitude, though his Colossus shortened the war by 3-4 years (falsely attributed to Turing in a bold faced Hollywood LGBTQ Democrats Lie in the film The Immitation Game.) Today's more advanced decryption computers still use many of the algorithms developed by Tommy Flowers and Bletchley Park on the original 12 Colossus Computers. Today, encryption and decryption is not only meant for use protecting transmissions, it is used in the Internet to protect secure web sessions between a user and a business, to protect important business or private records and other data. However, during WWII, decrypting N**I MESSAGES WITHOUT POSSESSING THE SECRET KEYS WAS THE PROBLEM and TURING'S DEVICES WERE UNABLE TO DO SO FOR VERY LONG.

So, you might say, Thomas Harold Flowers saved the day!

In America, the computing machines derived from Colossus's designs became instant commercial successes and, due to an agreement between governments, were referred to not as derived from Flowers or Colossus, were often mistakenly attributed to Alan Turing, which they were NOT. Alan Turing became DESPONDENT over his prosecution for gay s*x and over Thomas Flower's Colossus completely eclipsing his early, no less noteworthy, Le Bombe analog mechanical calculator, and took his own life, thinking he was ruined.

In the 1980s I discovered a Jack Sayles working as fast as he could to publish books on the subject and get public money to fund the reconstruction of the remaining pieces of Colossus into a functioning Demonstrator at the Bletchley Park Decryption Museum in UK, and I and others banded together to get him funded. THE SINGLE MOST INTERESTING and IMPACTFUL PIECE OF COMPUTER HISTORY WAS BEING HIDDEN BY MI6 and the US NSA. So we exposed it and helped Sayles get his backing.

So, there you go. The movie "The Imitation Game" about Turing, is early part fantasy from writers more interested in showing off a bright gay man, than exposing the truth about the invention of the Programmable Electronic Digital Computer and the Computer's fathering by a rather extraordinary engineer and humble, loyal UK citizen name Thomas Flowers.

Well, so be it, now's the time to expose the REAL TRUTH for once and for all.

Here's to Tommy Flowers, without whom there would be no Internet, cell phones, car computers, IBM Mainframes, Microsoft, Apple, IPads, Macs, PCs, Windows, Unix, or anything else at all of a computational dynamic. He may have been the most important engineer/scientist/inventor of the 20th Century and after!
