Newtoncoombe Poll Dorset Flock We have been keeping Poll Dorset sheep for over 40 years. All our stock are registered, genotyped and MLC recorded.

They are reared on a natural extensive system and are fed grass, corn and roots which we grow ourselves.

Our spring lambing is well underway now with less than 10 ewes left to lamb. What do we think about this beauty?
Personally, he is one of my favourites out of the bunch!

With the weather being colder overnight, most of our younger ones are in the house to be warmer.
To take advantage of them all being in, we had a number up! This is one of my favourite things to do as I always get to cuddle the lambs while dad tags and tails them.

Now, we are all up to date. Or so we thought! We always have a saying that if we want to start lambing again, have a number up. So, just as predicted, two more ewes lambed this evening! It's time to do it all again in a few days to keep up to date with it all.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the page!

As the new lambing season is well underway, we are also busy starting to think about our upcoming shows and sales starting in April.

Here we have our shearling rams (along with one lovely spring born), all tucked up inside, ready for shearing tomorrow.

It is always important for us to make sure that these guys are fully dry in order to make sure that the shearers can do their job.

Can't wait to see the new haircuts for these guys tomorrow as we then move forward into the new season!
