The famous Ford wet belt known for all the wrong reasons and that being what a bad design it is, All Cambelt’s have a replacement interval most being around the 110k miles and 10 years,

Here it is the trusty GK’s mobile autos clutch replacement, as much as we love looking after you all, some times a bit of time is needed on our work vehicle so we can keep delivering a great quality service to you all 😊

🫣 The clutch pedal was high, slightly slipping, bad smell when it did slip, and the flywheel was totally gone (bad knocking) we also went ahead and replaced the drive shaft oil seals and lower engine mount for a good measure,

⚠️ It’s not a wet belt ⚠️

VW crafter attended to for a very bad oil leak, That’s not ment to be a wet belt 🫣

We found the front main oil seal had failed and the cam-belt was chucking oil all over the inside of the covers and front of the engine, with oil contaminating the belts we replaced them to prevent failed, replaced the cam-belt shaft seal as well for extra measure ✅

YES these 2.0l diesel VW engines have a wet belt but it only drives the oil pump,

All parts replaced accompanied by an oil and filter change, And it was off down the road again no oil trail behind it ✅

⚠️water pump failure ⚠️

This was caught just in time, We attended this job originally to replace the AC compressor but while removing the parts we noticed a pink staining over a lot of components driven by the auxiliary belt,

As you can see we found the problem, The bushings in the water pump had failed 😳

New water pump along with the AC compressor, new coolant and AC gas and this job was completed ✅
