I’ve said since day one that I want Colossus to be the hub for local musicians in Bolton, and I think this is a step towards that - we now have a community on WhatsApp!

A whole bunch of topic-specific group chats where you can connect with other like-minded local musicians. Advertise for new members, buy/sell equipment, promote your next gig/release, swap rehearsals if you can’t make your booking anymore, or just have a chat and hang with some likeminded folk.

Soon I will also be introducing prize draws for massive discounts on rehearsals and recording as a way of giving back to all of you that have supported so far.

And just like that, the end of 2025 is upon us! A year packed with fun sessions (which I really should get better at taking photos and videos of!) and making lots of awesome music with a lot of awesome people!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much to everyone that has trusted me to work on your music or has rehearsed in one of my rehearsal rooms. Without you, the studio quite literally wouldn’t function and wouldn’t get to do what I love to do the most.

Here’s to creating even more music together in 2026! 🥳

Drummers!

Now that the shiny drum kit has your attention! I’m in discussions with about potentially stocking their sticks at the studio. I’ve seen the state of the rehearsal room rugs after a packed out week to know how many sticks you get through! 😂

I’ll likely just get a stock of 5A’s to begin with, but these will have the Colossus Studios logo printed on them and will be available to buy at the studio (or on our website) for a price competitive with other high quality drum sticks. Don’t come to me saying your none-brand TikTok shop ones are cheaper - that’s the reason I’m binning 10 broken pairs a week! 😘

Opening hours for the next 2 weeks! ⛄️

Few slots available before New Years, perfect for those with gigs wanting to get some last minute practice in. And daytime slots for when you all get sick of watching the same Christmas movies over and over and need to make some noise.

This delightful chap decided to leave a fake review, because he didn’t like my reply to his spiteful comment on another guitarists video. Guy lives in Germany and is from Hartlepool, has never interacted with the studio before today let alone visited… maybe he needs a hobby, or a hug! 😅
