Full rip out back to brickwork, removing this load bearing wall and installing a structural steel to create an open space for at their new premises.

Entrance wall to this car park rebuilt where it had been damaged by a vehicle..

Brick matching the original was a struggle due to weathering and I was told by suppliers they had been discontinued. I left the final decision with the customer and this is what they chose to go with.

CSCS Card Essential.

Must be registered self employed with valid UTR Number.

Work involves removing brickwork above window/door openings off tower scaffolds using power tools such as SDS Drills, recip saws and sthil saw ahead of bricklayers for the installation of new lintels.

Monday to Friday, 8 till 4pm. These are the working hours not the time you’ll be getting picked up and dropped off at your door.

Rate depends on your worth and reliability.

BEWARE OF THE RYANAIR BUILDER 👷🏻‍♂️

I went to book some flights to Cyprus last night using Skyscanner

If you didn’t know, Skyscanner is a price comparison tool for flights

By default, Skyscanner present you the prices in order of price - the cheapest being at the top and the dearest being at the bottom

And always … the cheapest (ie the price you will see) is the Ryanair price

Cyprus: £79.00

As I scroll through the prices go up and up until I get to the bottom of the list

And the bottom of the list (the most expensive) came in at £350 return

Now here’s what most people will do; be it consciously or subconsciously

Click on Ryanair and start booking to find out as they go through the process that Ryanair didn’t make allowances for

Bags
Insurance
Meal on the plane
Speedy boarding
A cabin bag
A neck pillow
Or even a seat

Then you go through the system to get your initial expectation of a £79.00 flight to be bumped up to £400 return

They hooked me in with a £79.00 initial litmus test and bolted on the extras as I went though my “holiday project”

Now I feel completely had over just because of their approach ..

As I opened this post …

Beware of the Ryanair approach to pricing construction work

Ensure that your specific requirement for your holiday are known before you ask for a price

Specification is the key to a successful project delivery

Without it

You WILL pay more

Your price WILL increase as the extras start as they were never allowed for in the £79.00 to begin with
