A little reminder...
Over our 20 years in the industry, we have always prided ourselves on being fair, honest and transparent with our customers. We believe that's one of the reasons why so much of our work comes from repeat customers and recommendations.
We are always happy to help when customers ask us to carry out additional work whilst we're already on site. Whether it's investigating a Hive issue, replacing an extra part, or looking at another problem, we'll do our best to help where we can.
However, additional work means additional time.
Our engineers' time isn't free. We have wages to pay, vans to run, fuel, insurance, tools, training, office staff and all the other costs that come with running a professional business.
Recently, we've noticed an increase in customers requesting extra work and then later disputing the charges after the work has been completed. In some cases, we've even received AI-generated emails challenging invoices for work that was requested and carried out in good faith.
We're always fair with our pricing and committed to being reasonable when issues arise. In fact, there are many occasions where we've carried out additional visits at no charge, even when circumstances were outside of our control, simply because we believe in looking after our customers and doing the right thing.
If something isn't right, tell us and we'll do our best to put it right. But once work has been requested, completed and delivered, it's only fair that our engineers are paid for their time, expertise and hard work.
We value honest, respectful relationships with our customers, and thankfully the vast majority of our customers are exactly that.
And for those who think AI should replace paying a heating engineer... perhaps an AI heating engineer is your answer too! π
A huge thank you to all of our loyal customers who continue to support local trades, small businesses and skilled workmanship. We genuinely appreciate every one of you.
