Improving healthcare provision through smarter design and delivery.

Sanper Construction were engaged to create a much-needed new dispensary point at HMP The Mount, helping healthcare teams dispense essential medication more efficiently and reducing waiting times for prisoners.

The project involved repurposing an existing store area, including structural alterations to create the necessary space for specialist medical cabinetry, services, and power requirements.

Working alongside STRAD, the facility incorporates MOJ-approved dispensary hatches complete with integrated spit guards, providing a safe and secure environment for healthcare professionals delivering critical services.

All finishes were completed in accordance with Document C requirements, ensuring a hygienic clinical environment suitable for day-to-day healthcare operations.

Delivered within a live custodial setting, the project was completed in just 4 weeks and handed over on programme.

A great example of how construction, manufacturing, and healthcare requirements can come together to deliver practical improvements across the prison estate.

Progress on site at HMP Feltham.

Sanper Construction has been engaged as Principal Contractor to deliver two fully Part L-compliant modular buildings for permanent use within the prison estate.

• Enhanced Gate System to streamline staff entry while maintaining strict security protocols
• Printz Workshop to equip prisoners with real vocational skills for life beyond custody

Delivered within an 8-week programme, including craning in modular units and full integration into the prison’s addressable fire and alarm systems.

Extensive enabling works have been required:
• Reduce dig across the site
• Pad foundations formed to structural engineer specifications
• Storm drainage rerouted
• New electric, water, and waste services installed

All delivered within a live, high-security environment, where access, sequencing, and coordination are critical to keeping the establishment operational.

Delivered in collaboration with Stroma Building Control, alongside the local fire authority and MoJ estate to ensure full compliance from day one.

This is a scalable solution that can be deployed across the estate, combining speed, compliance, and secure delivery in some of the most demanding environments.

Good progress from the team as we move towards installation.

No warning. No room for error.

Recently at HMP Pentonville, a major mains water leak caused a loss of supply to the prison estate.

With over 1,100 inmates, this quickly became a critical situation.

Our team acted fast.

Working with Thames Water and the FM team, we mobilised tankers, managed water usage, and activated contingency plans to keep the site operational.

Huge credit to Erjon Balliu and Marsel for leading from the front and staying late to get it resolved.

This is what delivery under pressure looks like.

When you ask construction teams to take part in a photo competition, things can get interesting.

The brief was simple. Take the best photo you can with your team. The main rule was to enjoy it.
