Fire safety done properly ✅ — without compromising the building.

We recently delivered a bespoke fire compartmentation solution for a property management client, creating a compliant fire barrier between the main block and the refuse storage area.

Where the existing Victorian door could not be fire-rated due to the original panel thickness, our team designed and installed a purpose-built fire-resisting wall using structural timber and fire batt, over-boarded and finished with faux panelling to retain the original aesthetic.

A new hardwood window with fire-rated glass and gaskets was formed above, allowing the original stained-glass window head to remain in situ — achieving full compliance with minimal internal visual impact. 🤝

Another project completed that really highlights our teams expertise in complex fire safety works, particularly within heritage and occupied buildings.

Fire door compliance and upgrades are now complete at the Methodist Church in sunny Southbourne!

We managed to upgrade some original oak panelled vestry doors up to compliance, saving the clients the cost of new doors and maintaining the period look of the building.
