🚨 Blocked Drain Call Out in Southowram🚨

This one was definitely not your average drain repair. We were called out to a blocked drain with no access for jetting, so the only option was to dig down and investigate.

The challenge? The pipework was located inside an extension, making access and excavation
much more difficult than a standard job. 🏠🔨

Once exposed, we found the soil pipe was asbestos. This was carefully removed and safely replaced with new plastic pipework. We also uncovered and repaired a damaged section of underground pipe which had been causing the blockage.

After completing the repairs, we carried out a full CCTV survey of the downstream line to ensure everything was flowing correctly and that there were no further defects or issues in the system. 📹💧

Another tricky drainage problem solved and flowing as it should! 💪

🏫 Another productive half-term completed for a local trust that we're always proud to work with! 👷‍♂️🚧

This project involved uncovering a buried chamber, cutting out the surrounding area, building it up to the correct level, and installing a new A15 cover and frame before retarmacing around it to leave a clean, safe finish. ✅

We also carried out general playground maintenance, retarmacing several unsafe areas across the school grounds. All potholes and trip hazards were cut out and repaired, helping to create a safer environment for students and staff alike. 🛠️🧱

One particular issue involved uncovering a buried manhole that had been covered with a wooden board where the tarmac had sunk over time. This was fully exposed, repaired, and made safe, removing another potential trip hazard from the site. ⚠️➡️✅

Safety is always our priority, and it's great to know these improvements will help provide a safer playground for the students to enjoy. 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓

A pleasure to work for the trust as always, and great to have everything completed and ready for the students' return after the holidays. 🤝🏫

‘’Michael and his colleague came out promptly, as arranged to fix a problem with the external kitchen waste pipe drain.
The pipes were replaced and updated. They have now made the drain accessible and also carried out rendering work to the area and replaced a broken flagstone, which has enhanced the kerb appeal to the front of the house. The work was carried out in an efficient and professional manner at a reasonable price.
