Production Operative – Final Assembly at our site in the beautiful Peak District National Park

Due to the continued success and growth of the business, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy, friendly team within our Final Assembly Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn a new role.

Primary responsibilities:
• Assemble a wide range of Furnaces and Ovens which consists of taking a variety of electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies to produce the products.
• To liaise with in-house personnel as required to resolve build and design issues.
• Correct completion of time sheets ensuring correct routing codes are used and the correct time is booked to the individual codes.
• To have an awareness of deviations in stock levels; overstocks and shortages and discuss with the relevant person.
• Work to set deadlines with strict adherence to Quality principles.

Key skills and qualifications:
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Able to read drawings.
• Able to follow standard working practices.
• Experience in a Manufacturing/Production Environment and electrical knowledge or previous assembly experience would be a distinct advantage but not essential as full training can be given to the right applicant.

• 4-day week on an 8-week rotating shift (38 hours per week): Rotates between Monday–Thursday and Tuesday–Friday. Working hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.

TEMPORARY LOGISTICS OPERATIVE – DESPATCH
For a period of up to 3 months

Due to the continued success and growth of the business, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Temporary Logistics Operative to join a busy Despatch Department. The role is key to our supply chain and includes a variety of tasks, including the picking and packing of products from our warehouse and preparing these to be distributed to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, who can work well on their own as well as being part of a team.

Primary responsibilities:
• The preparation & packing of customer orders.
• Moving & stacking boxes
• Manually processing relevant paperwork.
• Regular lifting & manoeuvring of boxes is required.

Key skills and qualifications:
• Experience of working in a Stores/Warehouse environment would be preferable but is not essential as full training can be given to the right applicant.
• Counterbalance forklift truck licence would be preferred.
• The role will involve regular, repetitive lifting and handling of materials and equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent people skills and a team player.
• Be computer literate.
• A full driving licence would be preferred.

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy, friendly team within our Mechanical Assembly Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work within the Company’s Mechanical Assembly Department where various mechanical fitting and assembly take place, and machined parts are manufactured and assembled.
Primary responsibilities:
• Build a wide range of Furnaces and Ovens, both catalogue and bespoke, consisting of taking a variety of electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies to produce the products.
• Basic Mechanical assembly using technical drawings.
• Drilling operations (Hand & Pillar).
• Carry out piping operations as required within the assembly requirements.
• Mig weld oven liners.
• Insulate products effectively.
• Work on your own initiative to perform mechanical fitting tasks.
• Use overhead crane as necessary and in a safe manner.
• To liaise with in-house personnel as required to resolve build and design issues.
• Installing and wiring electrical components/panels from electrical schematics.
• Basic electrical test and inspection.
• Awareness of deviations in stock levels; overstocks and shortages and discuss with the Mechanical Assembly Supervisor.

Key Skills and Requirements:
• Good skill base in mechanical Assembly/fitting.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Previous machining processes and skill in performing machining operations such as drilling, milling, and turning would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
• The ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
• Previous experience in Panel Wiring would be advantageous.
• Be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• Previous experience within an industrial background.

TEMPORARY PRODUCTION OPERATIVE - INSULATION/ELEMENT WINDING (6 MONTHS)

We are recruiting for a Temporary Production Operative to join our busy, friendly team at our Production Unit in Tideswell. This will be for a period of approximately 3-6 months.
Primary responsibilities:

• To insulate a wide range of furnace chambers and heating elements with various types of insulation materials.
• To form, condition and test element windings to required standards.
• Use a range of equipment to form, test, condition, cut and shape component parts to size.
• Use of the vacuum forming process to manufacture a variety of parts from ceramic fibres.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary at the request of the Production Unit Supervisor.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience of working in a production or manufacturing environment, and a knowledge of material types and cutting techniques would be preferable, but not essential as full in-house training can be provided to the right candidate.
• Candidates should be capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team.

• Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
• 38.00 Hours per week, 4 day week, rotating shifts, Monday – Thursday/Tuesday-Friday.

We are recruiting for for a Temporary Materials Handler/Driver for a period of approximately 3 months.
Primary responsibilities:
• Movement of parts, materials and finished products between Departments on the shop floor.
• Replenishment of production stock.
• To support the Stores Department, ensuring stock accuracy is maintained.
• To pick component parts from various stores locations.
• General driving duties as and when required.
• General housekeeping duties.
• To transport parts from and to our satellite location at Tideswell.
• To carry out any other duties in relation to the Stores Department at the request of the Logistics Supervisor.

Key Skills and Requirements:
• Counterbalance forklift truck licence is advantageous but not essential.
• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

WELDER/PRODUCTION OPERATIVE - FABRICATION (12 Month FTC)

We are seeking a temporary Welder/Production Operative to join our dynamic team in the Fabrication Department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in various welding and fabrication techniques, capable of interpreting engineering drawings, and proficient in operating machinery essential to the fabrication process.

Primary responsibilities:

• Mig Welding and sheet metal welding to case sets and fabrication assembly to engineering drawings.
• Cut materials using the CNC guillotine machine working with mild and stainless steel between 0.7 and 5mm thickness.
• Set and operate a Hydraulic Fly Press Machine.
• The ability to use a metal cutting band saw and notching machines.
• Knocking out and deburring using notches and linishing belts.
• Use of hand held grinders and tools.
• Reading Engineering Drawings

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Proficient in MIG welding techniques and practices.
• Apprentice trained, City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent in fabrication and welding to Level 2 or higher would be preferred, but not essential.
• Strong Fabrication and sheet metal skills, working within a light / medium fabrication working environment.
• previous experience of operating a guillotine machine and have the ability to mark out and measure to close tolerances.
• Candidates who have experience in setting and operating a Bystronic (Edwards Pearson) Press Brake Machine working with mild steel and stainless steel between 0.7 and 5mm thickness would be a distinct advantage.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team.
