We’re really proud to work closely with Yeovil College and to see this fantastic investment in engineering and technical education.

How lucky are we to have this right on our doorstep and within reach of so many of our apprentices? It’s a brilliant opportunity for young people in our area and great to see the continued focus on engineering, manufacturing and the skills our industry needs.

We’re looking forward to continuing our close relationship with Yeovil College and supporting the next generation of engineers as our new apprentices join us next week.

Well... our raft didn't quite survive the Bridport Raft Race this year! 🌊

Thankfully, our team spirit lasted a lot longer, and thanks to everyone's generosity we raised an amazing £520 for our local RNLI branch.

We also think our costumes deserve a mention! A big shout out to Paul for his brilliant homemade crab costume 🦀 and Kavi for the fantastic face paint – both looked the part!

A huge well done to everyone who took part. We may not have made it to the finish in one piece, but we had a brilliant evening and raised money for a fantastic cause.

A huge thank you to WB Alloy Welding Products Ltd for their generous sponsorship and for donating our costumes, and to Bridport Building Supplies for supplying the paint!

And the most surprising bit? The team have already said they'd do it all again... shocking! 😂

We'll be back next year – hopefully with a raft that's a little more seaworthy!

Work Experience 2026 is officially complete, finishing on this blue and black contrast toolbox.

This year we supported a record number of students through the programme – thanks to everyone who got involved.

Now it's time to start planning next year's project... 👀 Watch this space!

And just like that, we're back with another event! 👋

For the second year running, Bridport Round Table is proudly supporting the Bridport and District fundraising branch of the RNLI in organising the famous raft race! 🚣‍♂️🚣‍♀️

20 home built rafts navigating the half mile course. Come and join in the fun! Make sure you stock up on plenty of water balloons🎈

All proceeds from this event go directly to the RNLI who do a fantastic job of keeping our waters safe for everyone to enjoy.

This week, we're pleased to have Stanley, a Year 12 student, with us for work experience.

To give him a taste of the work we do, we challenged Stanley to measure critical dimensions using the Trimos Probe Height Gauge and record the results using our in-app inspection system. He took on the task well and gained some valuable hands-on experience in quality inspection and precision measurement.

GREEN Toolboxes!

Last week, we had Oliver and Aliza from The Woodroffe School with us for work experience.

They were brilliant, especially considering the hot weather and a few timetable changes along the way. They got stuck in, adapted well, and produced some great work.

We think you'll agree their finished toolboxes look fantastic!

It's always great to give young people a chance to experience the world of work, and we're pleased to have helped another two students gain this.

Today we're celebrating International Women in Engineering Day 2026 – a global movement championing diversity, innovation, and inclusion across the engineering sector, while encouraging more young women and girls to consider careers in engineering.

We're delighted to have the lovely Aliza from The Woodroffe School with us this week as part of her work experience. Here she is inspecting her personalised name plate, which she cut out herself using one of our laser machines!

It's fantastic to see Eliza considering a future in STEM, and we wish her every success.
