Today I would like to delve into a crucial aspect of our industry: the importance of site surveys in the installation of mezzanine floors. We recognize that thorough site surveys are the foundation of successful projects. Here’s why they matter:

Every site is unique, and a detailed site survey allows us to assess the dimensions, layout, and structural considerations of a project. This understanding is essential for designing mezzanine floors that seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure. Additionally, we consider the environment in which some sites operate, such as cold storerooms requiring PPE for the teams, or sites with limited access necessitating alternative equipment for delivery.

Customized Solutions:
Armed with accurate data from the survey, we can tailor our designs to maximize space utilization and efficiency, providing solutions that align perfectly with operational needs. This might include accommodating room for lifts, racking above or below the mezzanine floor, or structures that need to be galvanized.

For example, in one project, we measured a newly built warehouse and designed a mezzanine floor. However, upon reviewing the slab details, we discovered that the newly poured slab could not support the loads from the mezzanine floor columns. Consequently, we customized the design and added more columns to distribute the loads effectively.

Have you seen our redesigned website?

Well, we decided to get Hotlobster Design Ltd involved to help us redesign our site from scratch, with the following requirements:
• Clean
• Helpful
• Secure
• Useful

So, apart from keeping our original logo they went to work creating the current look. We talked about what we could do to make the website more helpful for our customers and made sure all data and links were up to date. So, you will now be able to see all the standards we adhere to with added links for further information, as well as a valid copy of our certificates. This should help you in getting information quickly, including insurance and our ICO certificate.

We have also worked on getting an SSL certificate, they really do check company details and confirm someone answers the phone.

We also have a new contact form where you can upload files (Max 5mb each file though) with an enquiry.

For our photographs we didn’t want to do a “copy and paste” with stock pictures (well apart from one, if you can find it). Which is why Burning Ram Ltd got involved who were helpful with providing pictures of our actual projects.

A nice surprise from a HSE representative, following a spot check to our factory, the inspector was more than happy with the risk assessments, policies and procedures as well as communication with staff members that were in place and being followed for COVID - 19

😮 After some research and investigations we have found that only half of the manufacturers of mezzanine floors have the appropriate health and safety systems in place for the industry and a shocking 60% of the manufacturers do not have CE / CAUK certification....

Now, not wanting to attract too much attention but..... we have passed our SafePQQ Verification 🙂
