Calderdale’s green economy is already contributing more than £725M to the local economy. Now local organisations can help accelerate what comes next.

From Halifax and Brighouse to Elland, Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge and Todmorden, businesses and organisations can switch to 100% renewable electricity matched with REGO certificates from wind, solar and hydro sources. Standard-rate options are also available, with competitive procurement through Baseline Power.

Our model is simple:

Join.
Switch both your gas and electricity supply, and contribute 0.5p per kWh of electricity only to a community grant fund managed independently by the Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC).

Become eligible.
After six months, customers can apply for grants to support energy reduction, environmental benefit or sustainability projects.

Apply for funding.
Funding could support LED lighting, insulation, heating controls, efficient equipment, solar PV or energy-management systems.

CFFC independently manages grant decisions. Hawley Energy has no say in the outcomes. Grants cannot fund general business support, commercial expansion or projects intended simply to save money.

This is more than changing your energy supply. It is a practical way to keep value local while helping power Calderdale’s green economy.
