We recently worked again with Sir William Perkins’s School SWPS Technology Department in Surrey, helping their Technology Department recycle the acrylic offcuts produced by their laser cutter.
Instead of throwing those offcuts away, we shredded them into small pieces and separated them by colour. The school could then melt the material back down and make new acrylic sheets from their own waste.
That means the material stays in use, rather than becoming waste — and the students can keep using the recycled acrylic again and again. 🔄
This is exactly the kind of practical, local recycling we want to help make easier.
