Well done lads ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
๐ค| We run out 3-1 winners vs Chew Magna FC to keep our 100% start to the season going. With 4 enforced changes to the previous weeks win, this would be the first test of squad depth.
Shooting down the famous Tunley hill in the first half saw Friday control large parts of the game early on but failing to take several set piece chances presented to us.
The deadlock was finally broken by Parsons, picking the ball up in a wide left position, wrapping the defence up before striking low and hard into the keeper bottom right. This coming after Parsons vs Pickford (Chew Keeper) took up most of the first half. (HT 0-1)
Up the hill we go for the second half and we came out the blocks on a mission. Keeping the ball well and creating opening via Skipper Midgley and Porterโs creative mindsets. 2 v 1โs being created all over the pitch as Parsons once more cut in from the left and unleashed a shot-come-cross which was instinctively touched home by the Day (0-2).
As the game got older, that pitch became steeper (not helped by the heat either). A few quick changes saw a freshen up and a renewed purpose to kill the game. Not before Chew having a 35 yard effort crack the bar and a penalty shout denied.
A break away from a Chew set piece saw Parsons find a pinpoint through ball to sub Ryan Villis, whom calmly slotted the ball under the keeper to make it 0-3. One blip around 90 minutes saw Friday lose their wanted clean sheet after a quality cross was played into the 6 yard box and was met by the opposition striker head (1-3). Shame as the rear guard action was superb for the majority of the game, restricting Chew to half chances at best.
Final score 1-3 to the Friday. Management delighted with the performance overall. Adverto Media MOM went to Parsons for a great display. On to the next one! StickerShopRJ Scaffolding Ltd
