🔋 3 installations. 3 happy customers. Zero lithium.

We've now fitted the Eleven Energy Galvani sodium-ion battery system in three homes across the South West — and the feedback has been brilliant.

Why sodium-ion? Because it's built on completely different chemistry to conventional lithium batteries:

⚡ No lithium. No cobalt. Sodium is one of the most abundant elements on earth
⚡ No thermal runaway risk — inherently safer for UK homes
⚡ Works down to -30°C — perfect for lofts, garages, outbuildings
⚡ Indoor or outdoor installation
⚡ 4.5kWh per module, up to 66kWh total (16 modules)
⚡ 10-year warranty
⚡ IP65 rated
⚡ Paired with the North Sea EL6000 — Silicon Carbide inverter, G99/G100 compliant, smart tariff compatible, UK cloud monitoring

This is early-adopter technology and we're proud to be one of the first installers bringing it to homeowners in the South West.

Not right for every home — but when it is, it's something genuinely special. Our surveyors will tell you honestly.

🔋 The EcoFlow Ocean 2 — and why I said it's "greater than anything else currently on the UK market."

That's a bold claim. But I stand by it.

As a solar and battery installer, I've worked with a lot of products. The Ocean 2 is the one that genuinely surprised me — not just with its spec sheet, but with how much thought EcoFlow put into real-world installation.

Here's what makes it stand out:

✅ 15-year warranty on both inverter and battery
✅ 10,000+ battery cycles — built for years of daily use
✅ Up to 30kWh storage with a single inverter (6 modules)
✅ 10 layers of protection — 6 passive, 4 active
✅ IP66 rated — suitable for indoor or outdoor installation
✅ Zero interruption switching for seamless backup power
✅ Intelligent HEMS — up to 77.6% reduction in energy bills
✅ Dynamic tariff integration — charges off-peak, discharges at peak automatically
✅ Wire-free stacking, wall or floor mounted, backward compatible
✅ Open ecosystem — integrates with EV charging, heating, and smart home

EcoFlow really went out of their way to pack in features missing from most of the UK market right now.

At Vision2030, this is our mid-tier recommendation — for homeowners who want flexibility, longevity, and a system that genuinely works harder for them.

💡 Still not sure if battery storage is worth it? Here's what it actually does for your home.

A lot of homeowners assume solar panels alone will cut their bills. And they will — but only during daylight hours. Without storage, any solar energy you don't use immediately goes back to the grid, often for just a few pence per unit.

Battery storage changes that completely.

Here's the reality for a typical Vision2030 installation:

☀️ Solar generates during the day — battery stores the surplus
🌙 Battery powers your home through the evening and overnight
⚡ Off-peak tariffs (like Octopus Go) charge the battery cheaply at night
📉 Grid usage drops dramatically — bills follow

Most of our customers see 60-80% reductions in their energy bills. Some go even further with smart tariff management.

And with four different battery options — from entry level to next generation sodium-ion — there's a system for every home and every budget.

Not sure what's right for yours?

What a shambles by FIFA

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: The Royal Belgian Football Association has released a statement in regard to Folarin Balogun being able to play against them.

"The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is astonished by FIFA's decision to declare suspended United States player Folarin Balogun eligible to play in the USA–Belgium match on Monday, 6 July at 5:00 p.m. (Seattle time)."

"FIFA bases its decision on Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. This provision states that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee may decide to suspend the enforcement of a previously imposed disciplinary sanction."

"However, Article 66.4 of the same FIFA Disciplinary Code clearly provides that a red card (sending-off) automatically results in a suspension for the team's next match, as has been the case for all previous red cards issued during this FIFA World Cup."

"Furthermore, and irrespective of the above, the decision is in direct contradiction with the provisions of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, as set out in Article 10.5:

"If a player or team official is sent off as a result of a direct or indirect red card (second caution), they will automatically be suspended from their team's subsequent match. In addition, further sanctions may be imposed."

"The automatic nature of such a suspension was also explicitly reaffirmed in FIFA World Cup 2026 Circular No. 16, which was distributed to all participating member associations on 12 May 2026."

"The same rule is reiterated at every FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Coordination Meeting prior to each match and is included in all FIFA World Cup 2026 workshop presentations.

"In order to safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this FIFA World Cup and at future editions of the tournament, the RBFA is investigating all potential options."
