Within the mists of the trees a new project is starting!
Our latest project at is underway, working with the we are installing a new waterproofing system followed by a sedum green roof. This is a complex project due to protected trees and the root protection zones within the vicinity of the building.
Green roofs are beneficial to the environment, they reduce stormwater run off, improve building efficiency (cooilng in summer, insulating in winter) boost biodiversity, improve air quality and extend roof life.

We have just finished a project at Newtown High School, working with Powys County Council. A complete kitchen refurbishment completed within the 6 week summer holiday period. It involved building works, mechanical and electrical installations, drainage works, new flooring and ceilings, decoration and installation of commercial grade kitchen equipment. It is now a brand new fully functioning commercial kitchen ready for the students and staff to enjoy.

School's out for the Summer!!
As we enter the summer holidays we have started work on various projects on schools around the country.
Firstly a safeguarding project at a school in Newent, Gloucestershire. Included in these works is the installation of security fencing, a gated secure entrance linked with CCTV and intercom, building a new secure visitor signing-in area in reception, new access doors, soft playground surfacing and asbestos removal. Similar safeguarding works are taking place at Eastrop Primary School in Swindon.
A full commercial kitchen refurbishment project has started at Newtown High School, Powys and some re-roofing works and window replacement at Roundhill Primary School in Bath.
Summer holidays are always a busy period for us here at RTL Group!

This three storey residential property is undergoing a significant transformation

- The external garage is being converted into a therapy space.
- The integral garage will soon serve as a bedroom.
- Internal doorways are being widened for improved accessibility.
- Areas are being modified to accommodate an internal lift shaft.
- The study is being transformed into an ensuite bathroom
- External spaces are being extended and levelled to enhance accessibility.
- Photovoltaic panels are being installed on the roof.

This comprehensive house adaptation project aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for the family.

Works are progressing well at the University in Aberystwyth . The refurbishment of the Great Hall will be delivered to our usual high standards in readiness for the students return.

After a successful 34-week project at Waitrose's distribution hub in Bracknell, May marked the completion of our endeavor. The project involved re-roofing 3 roof areas totaling 5900 m2, ensuring minimal disruption to the site's daily operations. Additionally, the decommissioning and removal of 8 cooling units, along with associated ductwork, pipes, and electrics from the roof, were crucial tasks completed seamlessly.

Given the roof's RAAC status, a comprehensive survey was conducted to assess its condition before commencing the necessary works. The utilization of Noxite, a smart sustainable bitumen flat roof waterproofing membrane, not only ensured effective waterproofing but also contributed to a cleaner, healthier environment by eliminating harmful airborne pollutants in the vicinity of the building.

We have just completed a rooflight replacement project at a John Lewis Partnership warehouse in Avonmouth, receiving great feedback from the client.
