Celebrating Two Years of Safety Excellence: Zero Lost Time Incidents
 
We are proud to have a strong finish to 2025, celebrating our significant milestone of 2 consecutive years (1.2 million working hours) without a lost time incident. This accomplishment reflects our strong commitment to safety, teamwork and operational excellence.

Yesterday lunchtime, the Avonmouth team hosted a 'Winter Celebrations Around the World' lunch.

Colleagues brought dishes to share, inspired by their cultural background and favourite winter foods.

It was a great way to learn about different cultural traditions at Christmas time and enjoy some delicious food from around the world🌎🎄

We're pleased to report that great progress has been made on site at HPC.
 
An important milestone was achieved with the successful installation of the final wall frame insert to Unit 2 IRWST. This marks the completion of all wall frame installations, and therefore, the end of all framework installation within the IRWST for both Units at HPC.
 
Additionally, the team completed the Unit 1 – B-021 Phase B installation including Kir Sensor Tension band installation. This is the insulation covering the Hot and Cold let outlets from the reactor pressure vessel & a KIR sensor mounting band.

Today, the first of four Unit 2 RRI Tanks made its way to Hinkley Point C, marking the beginning of its installation and the initiation of associated civil works for integration into the Nuclear Island.
 
The RRI Tanks are fundamental components of the Component Cooling Water System, part of the Safeguard Systems, within Hinkley Point C. Its primary role is to support the safe removal of residual heat from the reactor core when the reactor is shut down.
 
This delivery reflects the dedicated commitment and collaborative effort of Framatome Ltd and our valued clients in upholding the highest standards of product quality. Well done to all team members involved in reaching this significant milestone.
