Falls from height continue to be the most common cause of fatal accidents to construction workers in Great Britain. HSE's construction industry statistics show that falls from height were the cause of over half (53%) of construction worker fatalities in 2024 to 2025. Companies will be prosecuted if they are in breach of the legislation in place to protect workers. As Stress Awareness Month comes to an end, remember to always 'be a mate' - every month. As the charity 'Mates in Mind' says: "Remember, it's essential to take care of yourself and others, and there's no shame in seeking help when needed. With the right support, anxiety can be managed and overcome."

“Employers have a legal duty to protect workers from stress at work by doing a risk assessment and acting on it. This is the same duty you have to protect people from other health and safety risks.” (HSE).
