Concrete garage base for a repeat customer completed in Doulting, Shepton Mallet.

We started by clearing the area, reduced the ground level to accomodate 100mm of type one stone, installed timber formwork, installed DPM membrane to keep the slab as dry as possible in it's future use, one layer of A142 Mesh within 150mm of concrete.

A nice conversion from a small bath/shower to a shower enclosure.

We were set slightly off course by an unusual drainage system under the bath which served the adjacent W/C. With some perseverance we managed to rejig this to get the shower tray as low as possible without major groundworks being required.

Feels great to finish the 2nd bathroom we have renovated in this property. Not often we're asked to do two bathrooms back to back!

🔨🪚A step by step story of the replacement and re-insulation of a ceiling at this property in Keinton Mandeville.🔨🪚

The ceiling that we replaced was unfortunately damaged when some faulty guttering caused the flashing around the roof light to leak.

Some new guttering and a replacement roof tile or two had the roof watertight again, which allowed us to crack on and replace the ceiling.

We used Celotex type insulation instead of wool type to ensure that we had a good ventilation gap between the insulation and the roof membrane to avoid any condensation or moisture wicking issues.

As the property is sold with completion imminent we have done our best to leave it as clean and tidy as possible for the new owners to move in before we revisit and complete the decorations following the new plaster drying out fully.

Yesterday we made good our promise to supply a local good cause with some voluntary labour.

After a Facebook Poll we selected Bruton Primary school as the most worthy cause. We were asked to help give their Calm Room a freshen up ahead of the new term starting.

All walls prepared and painted ready for the caretaker to tackle the painting of the woodwork ready for new furniture to be put in place.

We can't wait to see the finished product!

Always nice to be able to revisit a space that we have renovated and see it settled into day to day life!

We undertook a light touch kitchen refresh at this property with new cupboard fronts throughout, new wall units and infilled a space adjacent to the oven to give the new owners an updated look and more space to suit their requirements.

All completed within tight timescales between the completion and move in dates.
