That’s it for a few days now but I’m absolutely over the moon, the transformation is unreal, 200mm step gone, 100mm shelf built and tiled, panelling around the room. Still some bits to do but they’re gonna be throughout the week, just the bath, towel rail, little bit of tiling and plaster the walls

Day 3 & 4 on the bathroom job 🔨

Day 3: Got a fair bit done — tiles are going on nice, but I’ll tell you now… they’re not small 😂 Proper slabs. Forgot to stick an update up

Day 4 (today): Half day on site but still pushed on — about 3/4 of the wall tiled now and started dry fitting the new bits. Starting to actually look like a bathroom instead of a building site 👌

Slowly getting there… one brew at a time ☕️

Day 2 on the bathroom job 🔨

Drains in, copper pipework in, all hidden away nice and tidy like we were never here 👌 Floorboards locked down, bit of temp lino chucked in, shelf up, and shower tray in place.

Tomorrow we’re on the tiles and aiming to get the shower up and running… if everything goes to plan (when does it ever?) 🚿😂

Day 1 – Bathroom Reno 🔨

Out with the dodgy 200mm step 👋 didn’t stand a chance. Got half the drains dropped and all the copper buried where it should’ve been in the first place 😅

Bit of graft, bit of mess, decent progress 💪

I genuinely have no words, on Friday night, my car got broken into…

All Dewalt power tools gone
My entire plumbing box has gone
£400 for a new window
£800 for new tools…

And then to top it off… last night

My dads van got broken into, luckily the van was empty but the window it still broken…

I don’t know what to do or say. 3 times in 6 months is a joke, this is our home and our business. How can we feel safe when this is happening.

We have 2/2 vehicles off the road and a s**t ton of work to do next week, I know whoever did this will not care whatsoever, but, we cannot work, we will have to let customers down, customers with broken boilers and infants at home. We won’t earn anything next week.

Ok. So.
I’ve been unable to work for 6 months due to ill health. I’m doing my best to return to work, and then this happens.
No tools taken, the van was empty. I know whoever did this won’t care about the consequences of what I found this morning.
Yes, I have my tools. Yes, the van is insured. Yes, the amazing Charlotte from Alpes repair centre will look after me.
However, my Easter break with my family is cancelled. I will not see my 5 year old as I will be working to catch up and not let my customers down.
I cannot simply ‘not work’ as we’ve had limited income for 12 months, without family help we would have not survived financially.
Tradies: watch your vans.

Do not worry, we’ve got a temporary van on the go from the amazing Charlotte Wright from James Alpe Ltd and we also have a little van to keep us going, so to you lovely lot, don’t worry, we will get to you, just keep in mind we’re a van down, bear with us ❤️

One week until we close for Christmas holidays, we are out in Manchester with Gizzi Electrical & Engineering Burnley Sales & Lettings we will be open for emergency’s only during the Christmas holidays, but as a new year resolution I will be more active on social media.
