Looking back 12 months ago at this amazing transformation we carried out on a bungalow in Roughlee near Burnley.

We completely remodeled the front to create offroad parking and stripped the house back to add a dormer with a main bedroom and bathroom and a full refurbishment throughout with a new open plan kitchen, flooring, bathrooms and full decoration.

A new extended back garden / sun terrace and a fresh re render to make it all look bright and clean.

We need someone who can keep the job running and tidy, who can work as part of the team and under instruction.
Duties:-
- Utilizing power tools and hand tools to complete construction projects
- Carry out general labouring duties, ie setting up a mix, laying out stone, digging
- Assisting on roofing projects including repairs and installations
- Carry out concrete base installations
- General Groundworks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
Experience:-
- Proven experience as a skilled labourer in the construction industry
- Proficiency in working with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to carry out instructions
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Knowledge of safety protocols in the construction industry

We are seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various construction disciplines such as masonry, roofing and concreting. If you are a hands-on individual with a passion for building and creating, we want to hear from you!

We have offices based in Trawden, Nr. Colne and Accrington, but work is carried out on sites throughout the North West, for which transportation will be provided for travelling to site.

We are looking for a member of staff, who has a passion about what they do and pride in their work. We have exceptionally high standards and this needs to be reflected in the work carried out.

Must be able to be a team member or work alone.

We are looking for an experienced First Fix Joiner with shuttering experience to join our busy team.

You must have strong skills in timber framing, floor joists and roof timber construction, also need to be confident with shuttering/formwork.

You must have a clean driving licence.
A can do attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
You must have your own tools and a valid CPCS card would be an advantage.

The job is:

Install timber frames, floor joists and roof trusses.
Build and set accurate concrete shuttering for foundations and structures.
Install windows and internal/external doors.

Pay is negotiable based on experience.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundworker to join our busy team on local construction and civil engineering sites. You will help set up sites from the ground up, working from foundation level to finished surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out site clearance, excavation, and digging trenchesLaying and tamping concrete for foundations and floors.
Installing drainage systems, piping, and manholes
Kerb laying, paving, driveways.
Working safely alongside heavy plant machinery and using hand/power tools.

Requirements & Qualifications

Valid CSCS card (essential).
Additional plant tickets (such as CPCS or NPORS) are a strong bonus.
Proven hands-on experience in residential or commercial groundworks.
Good understanding of health and safety rules on-site.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Builder’s Labourer to join our busy team. You will support our tradespeople on-site, handle building materials, and keep work areas safe and tidy to ensure projects run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities are

Mixing, loading, and moving construction materials (e.g., cement, bricks, and timber).
Assisting on-site tradespeople including bricklayers, carpenters, and groundworkers.
Operating basic power tools and equipment safely.
General site maintenance, clearing debris, and loading/unloading deliveries.

Requirements and Skills

Proven experience working on a busy construction site.
Valid CSCS card (preferred/essential) and own basic PPE (steel-toe boots, hi-vis).

Job Done ✅

We had a call from this business who had their wall hit by a vehicle on a weekend evening causing some significant damage.

JSD Engineering and Construction acted quickly to ensure the security of the unit wasn't compromised and the wall was rebuilt as soon as possible.

We also priced for V Mesh fencing to be attached to the top for extra security. Using 1.2m black V Mesh makes it a lot less intrusive in the residential setting this unit is in.
