MCA coded RHIB required

We are looking to source an MCA-coded RHIB, minimum 7.5m+, for marine support work in the Inverness area.

Required dates 2026:

- 10th September
- 11th September
- 6th October

We are looking for pricing for both options:

- Vessel hire only
- Vessel hire with skipper included

Please include:

- Vessel size/specification
- MCA coding/category
- Vessel location
- Availability for the above dates
- Day rate for vessel hire only
- Day rate with skipper included
- Mobilisation/delivery costs, if applicable

Transport support may be available if required.

Preference would be for one supplier able to cover all three dates, but individual date availability can also be considered.

Marine Site Operatives / HGV HIAB Drivers Required

Marine Plant Hire Scotland is building a small pool of reliable marine site operatives with HGV and HIAB experience for work across Scotland.

This is not just a driving role. The work will involve driving, towing, transporting equipment and assisting with marine site operations.

Main duties may include:

- Transporting pontoons, boats and marine equipment to job sites
- Boat towing and trailer work
- HIAB loading/unloading
- Assisting with modular pontoon installation and dismantling
- Working on marine, construction and civil engineering sites
- General equipment handling and site support

Full training will be given on our modular pontoon systems and other equipment but applicants must be practical, reliable and comfortable working outdoors on job sites.

Minimum requirements:

- C1+E licence or above
- HIAB / lorry loader certification preferred
- Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- Confident towing and reversing trailers
- Site experience preferred
- Marine, plant hire, construction or civil engineering experience would be an advantage

This is flexible work rather than a full-time position at this stage. We are building a trusted contact list of operatives who may be available when suitable jobs come in.

Rate: £22 p/h, paid fortnightly. Higher rates may be considered for the right experience.

Based in Burntisland, Fife, with work across Scotland.

Pontoon hire completed this week in Edinburgh with over 1,000 cubes delivered and assembled by our team on site.

This project came with it's challenges including maintaining a live public pathway, restricted HIAB access due to overhead wires and working around busy canal traffic.

All completed within a designated time frame allowing the contractor to complete work ahead of schedule.

We are looking to connect with experienced HIAB operators for upcoming modular pontoon installations across Scotland.

Multiple commercial marine projects scheduled this year, with potential ongoing work for the right person.

Fife based | ad hoc work

Work involves:
• Driving 7.5t flatbed with HIAB to site
• Safe loading, securing and transport of modular pontoon systems
• Operating HIAB for delivery and installation
• Working in marine and waterside environments alongside an experienced install crew

Requirements:
Valid UK licence for 7.5t vehicle (C1+E minimum)
ALLMI or CPCS HIAB ticket
Experience with load securing and lifting operations
Confident operating on tight or sensitive sites
Professional and reliable approach
Marine / civils background preferred
