At Inspired, we’re committed to being good environmental citizens, and an example of that is our partnership with Field and Feral – a permaculture agroforestry project in North Yorkshire, England.
Field and Feral is an innovative farm that is building a thriving, productive ecosystem to support nature, strengthen local biodiversity, and provide food for the community – half of all food grown here will be donated to local food banks. One of the most remarkable things you’ll notice as you walk the land is the explosion in butterflies (and other insets) throughout. And while these butterflies are beautiful, they tell a much bigger story. Today’s butterflies will lay eggs that become tomorrow’s caterpillars - one of nature’s most important food sources, these same butterflies will pollinate wildflowers and fruit trees to nourish the developing landscape. These butterflies are an illustration of Field and Feral’s long-term environmental regeneration.
