History of Songalt family builders. - 1958-Present

In 1958 my dad started out in business, I was born in 1961, as a young lad i was always interested in doing things with my hands and making things. I remember stowing away in the back of my dads van so I could be a builder too. I was only about 7 years old, my dad was not to pleased when he found me in the back of his van as he had to take me home we lived in woodville, when he found me we were at sudbury. In 1977 I joined my dad and one of my first jobs was labouring for Pete a tradesman, I have never ever found anyone better ( old school) I learned so much from him, what sticks in my mind was something he said to me, to this day I live by “Always pay attention to detail always and always do your job as if it was your first job as if you were trying to impress your boss”.

We have been building houses and doing all types of building work for over 60 years. I have been in the building trade for over 40 years and Im still learning new things, Our company is about good old fashion traditional customer service with the quality of work youd expect in todays society.

Songalt has built a reputation on being realiable, caring, and proffesional building company with the customer at the heart of everything we do, ensuring satisfaction and quality no matter what the job, Songalt is now into its 3rd generation of family building with my Son Edward keen on taking Songalt forward.
