Harvest 2026 over and out!

Combinable harvest completed in July and maize harvest completed in August! Not a year that most will want to repeat!

All finished up with sheeting of the final clamp this morning, with a superb team effort!

This is likely to be our last harvest in Ickworth House National Trust. The whole team have really enjoyed answering questions from the general public over the years as to what we are doing and why.

We have enjoyed telling our story and linking farming with nature. We hoped you have enjoyed it and learned something too.

Over the past couple of weeks the team at Symonds Farm have been busy doing health and safety training. Most of the team attended an NFU East farm safety event hosted by us at Symonds Farm. The arable team had a pre- harvest meet to brainstorm all things health and safety. Today the whole workforce took part in the Lone Worker Seriously Injured Course run by Dave Coyle from DAC Education. A fantastic course, very well received by the team

Tramspread have been with us applying digestate to some of the rye and wheats. Super service as always!

Our maintenance team have been busy revamping the cladding on this building, giving it a new lease of life.
