Another top-quality project smashed by the team at Surrey Groundworks and Civil Engineering LTD 💪

RC slab complete ✔️
Brick plinth complete ✔️

And the result? Absolutely stunning.

This one has come together exactly how we envisioned it, and the finish speaks for itself. Even better — the client is over the moon with the outcome, which is what it’s all about.

We’ve now handed the project over to Southern Oak who are set to work their magic with a beautiful oak car port. It’s been a pleasure working alongside their team, and we’re looking forward to many more collaborations ahead.

If this is how it looks now, just wait until it’s finished… it’s going to be something special.

Another major milestone delivered 👊

38 cubic metres poured today on the RC slab — no easy task in the hot, sunny conditions 🥵 but the team stepped up and drove it through from start to finish.

It was a long, demanding day on site, but that’s what it takes to get the job done right. We only managed to grab a couple of photos, more to follow once the brick plinth is underway next week.

Another solid milestone reached on site 👊

Our RC slab is now fully steel tied and shuttered, all set and ready for the big pour in the morning. We’re really pleased with how this one has come together — a great effort from the whole team.

Everything on this job has been delivered in-house by our own lads, with no subcontracting. That’s how we like to do it — keeping control, quality, and pride in the work from start to finish.

Next up, some brickwork early next week, and then we’ll be handing the project back over to Southern Oak

Another successful project completed by Surrey Groundworks and Civil Engineering Ltd ✅

We’ve just wrapped up a great groundworks package for our friends at Hawthorn & Vale / Darby Homes, delivering everything efficiently and to a high standard.

Scope of works included:
• Foundations dug
• Foundations poured
• Oversite removed
• Blockwork laid
• Installation of 3 x SVP drainage connections into the existing sewer
• Hardcore and sand blinding laid
• 1200 gauge DPM installed
• Reinforced mesh fitted
• Concrete slab completed

All works have now been fully completed, signed off, and handed back ready for the next phase, allowing brickwork to commence without delay 🧱

Even better — we delivered the project 5 days ahead of schedule 💪

Great teamwork all round and always a pleasure working with Hawthorn & Vale / Darby Homes. Looking forward to the next one!

Another productive day on site for Surrey Groundworks and Civil Engineering Ltd 💪

We’ve got three bases fully prepped and ready for concrete first thing tomorrow morning. All groundwork has been carefully set out, levels checked, and everything secured to ensure a smooth and efficient pour.

It’s always good to see the preparation come together — getting the foundations right is what everything else is built on. Big effort from the team to get everything completed on schedule 👏

Another top-quality project completed by the team at Surrey Groundworks & Civil Engineering Ltd 👷‍♂️

We’ve recently transformed this garden with two professionally installed concrete slabs – one for a shed and a main base ready for a stunning garden room supplied by Crown Pavilions – finished off with a sleek porcelain patio to bring the whole space together.

Our work included:
✅ Full excavation
✅ Solid sub-base installation
✅ Precise formwork
✅ DPM installation
✅ A393 mesh reinforcement
✅ C20 concrete pour
✅ Installation of a porcelain patio

Built to last, finished to a high standard, and another very happy client 👍

Another successful project completed by Surrey Groundworks and Civil Engineering Ltd. 👷‍♂️

We were recently called out to investigate damp issues affecting part of a property’s internal floor. After carrying out a thorough assessment, we identified that the root cause was the absence of a damp proof membrane beneath the existing concrete.

A few days later, our team returned to carry out the full remedial works:
• Removal of the existing concrete floor
• Excavation to the correct depth
• Installation of clean hardcore
• Sand blinding
• 1200 gauge damp proof membrane (DPM)
• A393 reinforced mesh
• Pouring a new 150mm concrete slab

With the client having young children, we understood the importance of working quickly and safely. We’re proud to say we completed the dig out, installation, and concrete pour in just over a day — leaving the area safe, secure, and ready for use.
